n November, we join global efforts to raise awareness of bladder health and the impact it can have on pelvic health and overall well-being. 🌍✨

Conditions affecting the bladder are common, yet often under-discussed. One example is Female Bladder Pain Syndrome (FBPS), a condition that has long lacked standardized terminology and is sometimes referred to as interstitial cystitis or bladder pain. Because it often occurs alongside other pain conditions, diagnosis and management can be challenging.

A recent article in the International Urogynecological Journal (IUJ) explores the importance of establishing standardized terminology for FBPS to improve diagnosis, research, and patient care.
