Licensed Mental Health Professional:

Healing Connections Therapy Center is currently expanding our team! Positions are currently available for mental health professionals who are looking to be part of a caring, dynamic, creative community. These positions offer the flexibility of creating your own schedule face-to-face or via telehealth as an independent contractor with in-house office and billing support.

Healing Connections is a multidisciplinary private practice clinic which includes psychologists, nurse practitioners, marriage and family therapists, licensed professional counselors, and licensed clinical social workers. We specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and are DBT certified by the State of Minnesota. We offer a comprehensive DBT program which includes individual therapy, skills groups, skills coaching, and consultation. In addition, we provide individual, marriage and family therapy, medication management, and an intensive outpatient program.

At present we are seeking mental health professionals who are currently licensed or able to be licensed in the State of Minnesota, and able to accept third party reimbursements. Supervisory competence would be a plus, but is not required. Training and experience in DBT is strongly preferred.

Free COVID-19 Drive-thru Testing
Free drive-thru COVID-19 testing is available Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at Dakota Child and Family Clinic and the Northern Service Center.

If you don’t have a vehicle or would prefer to walk-thru, we can still test you.

Testing information

Free and open to everyone (no age or location requirements)
No symptoms, insurance or ID required
Test results take 3–7 days to process, rapid tests are not available
Testing is administered by professional medical staff
Nose swab viral test (antibody blood tests are not available)

March 17, 2020 - Update regarding Coronavirus COVID-19

Due to the updated social distancing recommendations from DHS, we are cancelling our group sessions until further notice. This includes DBT, IOP/Day Treatment, Depression/Anxiety, Trauma Skills, and Life Skills 2. We have alternatives in place and will continue to keep you updated. Please contact your provider directly to get more information about the options available.

Individual sessions will continue as scheduled unless advised by your provider. Telehealth may be available to you, please contact your provider directly to discuss options.

Information regarding Coronavirus COVID-19

With the development of Coronavirus cases in Minnesota, Healing Connections Therapy Center is taking steps to protect our clients and staff in case of an outbreak of COVID-19 in our area.

It is important that you do not come to your appointment if you are ill or anyone in your home is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath). Please contact us as soon as possible to cancel your appointment. There will be no late cancellation fee.

Please also inform us prior to your appointment if you or anyone in your immediate workspace or your child’s classroom has experienced any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath). In addition, please notify us prior to your appointment if you have recently traveled anywhere the coronavirus is prevalent.

Please also be aware that our providers may need to cancel sessions during the weeks ahead in order to protect themselves, their family and all of their clients. You will be informed with as much notice as possible if this happens. We are currently exploring telehealth options and will let you know when or if this becomes available to you.

Welcome Chase Thomas, PMHNP-BC APRN DNP CNP

Chase Thomas has joined our team here at Healing Connections Therapy Center to provide medication management services. He will be available part-time starting Monday, February 17, 2020 and is planning to be full-time by March 16, 2020.

Chase received his doctorate degree in 2018 as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and has worked in the mental health field since 2013. His experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner includes over 5000 hours in a psychiatric emergency room and an inpatient psychiatric unit at a Twin Cities hospital. Chase is certified to work with clients ages 5 years and older experiencing mental illness. He has experience treating ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, personality disorders, and more. Chase enjoys working with clients that want to improve not only their mental health but their quality of life as well. When he isn’t working, Chase enjoys spending time with his young family, particularly when they can enjoy nice outdoor weather together.
