For anyone in Minnesota, I realize this has been a very emotional and confusing time with a lot of fear and uncertainty.
Please take time to check in with yourself and here is some mental health guidance:
1. You might need a psychological break from the news, YouTube and social media. I took a 24 hour break this week and it helped me recenter and get some emotional rest.
2. Talk to loved ones about your emotions, but seek out a counselor or spiritual leader if you find yourself stuck. Check with churches who have Stephen ministries, they will get you an individual trained to be your person. Reach out if you need referrals, seek support.
3. Don’t let “what if’s” overrun your mind. Take one day at a time.
Prayer isn’t for God to know our thoughts, it’s for us to reflect while we tell him. Be honest, tell Him what you feel. He can take it. He wants to take it. ❤️
