Abria had the privilege of visiting The Transformation House, The Recovery Hub and Agape Health & Wellness, and what an impactful experience it was!

Touring each facility and learning more about the services they provide gave us a deeper appreciation for the vital role they play in supporting individuals on their recovery journey. What stood out most was the authentic culture, compassion, and genuine care demonstrated by every team.

We had the opportunity to witness that care in real time through meaningful interactions with the individuals they serve a true reflection of excellence in action.

Abria is excited about the meaningful connections we made and confident that through networkship, working together with shared purpose and intention, we can continue to best serve our community.

Abria had the privilege of attending Recovery Day on the Hill at the Minnesota State Capitol , an incredible day centered around advocacy, connection, and strengthening the recovery community across our state.

We are truly grateful for all of the speakers who shared their insight, knowledge, and passion. The depth of experience and commitment to expanding resources and improving access to care was both impactful and inspiring.

Events like this reinforce how important it is for all of us in this field to come together, collaborate, and continue pushing forward meaningful change.

We also had the opportunity to connect with Derek from Amethyst Recovery Solutions and learn more about the services they provide, along with the initiatives they are actively working on to support individuals in recovery. It was equally great connecting with Daniel from Just Hope and hearing about the work they’re doing in the community , from street outreach efforts to recovery-focused events that are meeting people where they’re at.

Advocating, learning, and building relationships with others who are equally committed to making a difference. Together, we continue to move the needle forward in creating a stronger, more supportive recovery community here in Minnesota.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Melissa Baumgart, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, CARN-AP from Recovery Telecare to Abria Detox today and we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to connect.

Melissa took the time to learn more about the services offered at Abria Detox and Abria Recovery, while also providing valuable insight into the work she is doing through Recovery Telecare. Her private practice specializes in Suboxone treatment for individuals experiencing opioid use disorder, delivered through telemedicine, helping expand access to care for those who may not be able to engage in traditional, in-person detox services.

Recovery Telecare, located in Woodbury, MN, offers flexible and accessible treatment options, accepts many state insurance plans, and plays an important role in reducing barriers to care. These types of services are critical in meeting individuals where they are and ensuring more pathways to recovery are available within our community.

Self-Care Sunday — for the people doing this work every day.

The substance use and behavioral health field has faced significant barriers over the past few years — limited placement options, increasing acuity, staffing shortages, and growing system pressures. All of this adds additional strain to professionals in a field where burnout was already trending.

If you work in this space, you’re likely carrying more than what’s visible on the surface.

A reminder that self-care in this field doesn’t have to be elaborate. Sometimes it looks like:

• stepping away from your phone after hours
• taking a real lunch break
• setting boundaries where you can
• debriefing with a colleague
• using PTO without guilt
• moving your body or getting outside
• asking for support when you need it

The work matters.
But so do the people doing the work.

Taking care of yourself isn’t stepping away from the mission — it’s what allows you to stay in it for the long run. There are people who need you, and that includes you needing yourself too.
