On Tuesday, March 3, the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture will conduct a full committee mark-up of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 or Farm Bill 2.0. In advance of the hearing, the Minnesota Corn Growers Association issued the following statement.
“The Minnesota Corn Growers Association greatly appreciates the Committee’s work to complete the Farm Bill reauthorization process. Minnesota farm families are struggling right now with depressed prices, high costs of production, and a sea of red ink. That’s why our producers are so grateful for the significant improvements to the farm safety net made last year, the economic aid recently announced, the economic and production loss assistance provided in the American Relief Act, as well as the Farm Bill 2.0 recently unveiled. While there is a lot of work ahead, including building markets both abroad and here at home, we recognize the strong support by Congress and the Administration as our farm families weather some extremely difficult conditions. We hope that the Committee will move forward with Farm Bill 2.0 in keeping with the bipartisan spirit that has always been the Committee’s hallmark and we thank Members on both sides of the aisle for the steadfast support of American agriculture, including the farm families of Minnesota.” Wes Beck, President, Minnesota Corn Growers Association.
