Halloween can be a blast for kids of all abilities! Here are a few autism-friendly tips to make trick-or-treating a fun and sensory-friendly experience for all:

🎃 Plan ahead – Review the route or show photos of where you’ll go so your child knows what to expect.
🧡 Choose a comfortable costume – Soft fabrics and tag-free outfits can help avoid sensory discomfort.
🍬 Practice at home – Try a short “mock” trick-or-treat session to help your child feel more confident.
🕯️ Use sensory breaks – Bring headphones or a comfort item if your child needs a calm moment.
💙 Go at your child’s pace – Whether you visit a few houses or just enjoy handing out candy, it’s all about having fun together!
