The Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) Chiropractic Alumni Board wants you to join us either in person (walk/run/push your children in a stroller) or virtually as we get in shape and enjoy some great swag! Packet pick up is on Thursday Sept. 14th from 4-8 at Northwestern Health Sciences University, 2501 West 84th Street, Bloomington, MN.
You can also pick up your race packet 1 hour before the race at the race location. If you would prefer your items be mailed to you, please choose that option at checkout.

If you sign up now through June 1, 2023, use code ALUMNIBOARD for a discount (normally $40 signup fee, however, with code it is $25).

Starting on May 9th, Dr. Bloom is going to be available at the Sweere Clinic located at Northwestern University of Health Sciences on Tuesday afternoons from 2 pm to 5 pm. She will be there as the primary Activator doctor. Dr. Bloom’s patients are welcome to schedule an appointment at the Sweere Clinic at their convenience. She will continue her regular schedule at Bloom Chiropractic.

The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation. There are two advantages of an Activator instrument-assisted treatment. The first is based on the speed of the device. The instrument is so quick that the body’s muscles are less likely to tense in response, and resist the treatment. The lack of muscle resistance may facilitate the treatment effectiveness. The second is that the applied force is localized and does not add any additional torque or bending moment to the joint.
