Ms. Patchett received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. She has worked and studied in the mental health field for the past 24 years and holds two social work degrees

Empowerment was founded February 2002 by Beverly J Patchett, LMSW. Patchett relocated the business from Pontiac, Michigan to Royal Oak, Michigan April 2003. As she celebrates her 15th year in business she has relocated to Grand Blanc, Michigan where she provides psychotherapy and life coaching services. Since opening February 2002 Beverly has expanded her “private practice” to include a private practice network and support group, supervision, and continuing education offerings. She self-published a book “Solo Private Practice” and currently offers “How to Open Your Own Private Practice” seminars while offering consulting services for those in early start-up. An incubator program was developed during 2015 to support individual in early start-up phase. Our focus in Grand Blanc will be psychotherapy, life coaching, consulting, and seminars. We have started Genesee County Private Practice Network and Support (GCPPNS) group to help with link and support our patients while getting to know our new community. Patchett provides confidential services for individual, couples, and family. She works with mental illness, substance abuse, grief and loss, conflict resolution, trauma, relationships including gay and le***an issues. While family systems is a passion she works with cognitive behavioral, solution focused, gestalt along with other therapies, therapy approaches are very individualized in order to be effective.
