Citizenship for Health-Burton

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! This post serves to put an upcoming event on your radar. As you may recall, Burton was one of 3 communities participating in the Citizenship for Health program. In March, all 3 communities are invited to attend a gathering at Wayne State so all of you can share your experiences with the principal investigators of the project. Though there is no solid information on the event yet, initial discussions suggested March 14th or March 21st as options for the date of the event. Additionally, a meal will be provided, and there is a possibility of transportation being provided from Burton to Wayne State and back. Again, details are still being discussed and planned. Stay tuned to this page for more info, and watch for an email as well.

Our last meeting is this Sunday, December 7th, 5pm, at Bentley middle School. Some things to remember:

🍏Polar Bears, you are making our meal for this meeting so please arrive by 4pm so dinner can be served by 5pm.

🍎Wear comfy clothes for our fitness class.

🍏 Citizenship for Health will be sponsoring those who would like to participate in the upcoming Hot Fudge Run in February. If you would like to participate in this race, please let Cindy know when you arrive and we will register you during the meeting.

🍎 There will be a short celebration at the conclusion of the fitness class.

🍏 Don’t forget to bring back your step tracking sheets! 👟
