🌙🚘 Late Nights. Long Roads. Stay Awake, Loup Basin. 🚘🌙
Across rural Nebraska, long drives and quiet highways are part of everyday life — but they can also increase the risk of drowsy driving.
Fatigue slows your reaction time, affects your judgment, and can be just as dangerous as driving under the influence. Whether you’re heading home after a long workday, a late visit, or an early morning start, make rest part of your travel plan.
Watch for these warning signs:
😴 Frequent yawning or heavy eyelids
🚗 Drifting out of your lane or hitting rumble strips
📱 Missing road signs or turns
⏰ Forgetting the last few miles you’ve driven
If you notice any of these, pull over safely and rest. Even a short nap can make a big difference.
