Recovery is active. It requires attention and effort. The CR-ism “it works if you work it” is so very true. To get the most out of your recovery journey, you need to put in the work.

Please hear me… no matter what you’ve done or who you are, you are absolutely worth it!!

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

What is a Step Study?

Step Study is a personal journey through the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery in a safe group led by a facilitator who has also completed a step study. The step study is where we get into the heart of the program, and true healing from life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups occurs.

Admitting what the problem is can sometimes be the most challenging part. Denying sin won't make it go away. Only once we confess our sins then we can give them to God and start working on our problems.

Women's Step Stud will begin, Sunday, February 1st, 3pm - 5pm.

If you're interested in signing up, please send us a private message or sign up in person at our Wednesday meetings.

Do not fear today. Trust in your Good Shepherd. Allow Him to guide you.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Psalm 23

As Christians, we are called to love our neighbors, be humble and gentle, and patient with one another. Did you know we are also called into battle?

There is so much evil and chaos in the world. Luckily, God gives us everything we need to face it. That includes Celebrate Recovery! Being a sponsor or accountability partner puts you in the perfect position to step in and fight when someone else isn’t strong enough to do it on their own.

What battles are you facing today? How can we help stand with you?

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with prayer and supplication.” Ephesians 6:13-18

What was your takeaway from last night's lesson?

Denial is a false system of beliefs that are not based on reality. This can be rooted in our past failures or perhaps even fear of the future.

One day at a time. Easy does it. Do the next right thing. CR-isms that ring so true. We can't control what tomorrow will bring, but we can control our next step right now.

As we come into the New Year, be ready for a new you!! Focus on today, pay close attention to your recovery, and make the best next choice you can. If you keep on walking forward, this time next year you’ll be amazed at just how far you’ve come!!

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:34

Now that the celebrations are slowing down, take some time today and reflect on 2025. Yes, I'm sure there were plenty of bumps or mistakes along the way. What were your successes? How much farther are you on your recovery journey? Or are you ready to start today?

The New Year is a time to celebrate, but we shouldn't forget all of the things that brought us to where we now are. What accomplishment are you most proud of from 2025? What goal are you setting for yourself for 2026?
