Research shows that putting time and distance between lethal means—such as a firearm or medication—and those who may be in crisis can prevent su***de and save lives. Consider these ways of keeping your home environment safe, especially when a loved one is at risk of su***de.

It only takes a minute to send a text letting someone know that you care and are there for them. Gestures like this may seem small but they are a huge part of su***de prevention.
