Happy Thursday!!! June is a special month for one of our employees! Sandy has been our insurance coordinator for 25 years!!! As the insurance coordinator, she verifies and authorizes insurance benefits, files and reconciles insurance claims. She also enjoys taking care of the flowers outside the office. When not working, she enjoys hiking in national parks, trying new hobbies, and listening to Yacht Rock. Sandy is married to Kyle, and together they have 3 grown daughters and a cockapoo named Wallace. She is also a Grandma to the orneriest little boys, Sandler and Myles (on the way). One of her favorite memories from working at the office is watching the eclipse with everyone. She also really enjoyed working alongside Dr. Noe because he was a bit of a mischief maker, and she can’t choose just one memory from that time because they are all her favorite. Please help us congratulate Sandy on 25 years of service!

Happy Friday!!! Today’s Staff Spotlight: Sandy Hines. Once you complete check-in, Sandy shows you into an exam room, takes down your medical history, and does your pre-screening before you see the doctor. She also performs other extra tests and scans when prescribed by the doctor, along with calling in prescriptions to the pharmacy & answering questions pertaining to contact lenses. Sandy has been on staff with Drs. Noe, Miller, and Miller for 4 ½ years. She & her husband Kevin have been married for 33 years and together they have two kids, McKayla and Nathan. McKayla is newly married to her husband Brandon and Nathan is a senior at Pitt State. When Sandy isn’t working she enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with family.

Happy Friday!!! Today’s Staff Spotlight: Heather Agnew. Heather works at the front desk where she greets patients, enters information and so much more. She has been with Drs. Noe, Miller, & Miller for 13+ years. She has been married to her husband Ryan for 12+ years and has 4 children, Hayden (almost 21), Hayleigh (19), Jeremy (19), Logan (12), and also a cat named Ellie. In Heather’s free time, she likes to spend time with family, go to local sporting events, and has an obsession with watching TikTok lives about epoxy tumblers being created. Heather also enjoys researching various topics of interest and complaining about the weather.

On June 1, 1998, Dr. David Miller and Dr. Susan Miller, optometrists, joined Dr. John Noe’s longstanding practice in Butler, MO to become Drs. Noe, Miller and Miller.
Dr. Stanley Noe started the practice as a sole proprietor in 1949 on the west side of the Butler square. He built a new building in 1960 where the current practice exists. His son, Dr. John Noe, joined Dr. Stanley in 1963. The two practiced together through the mid-1980s until Dr. Stanley’s death. Dr. John continued to practice as a solo provider until Drs. David and Susie joined the practice in 1998. The three practiced together until Dr. John’s retirement after 50 years in practice in 2013.
Both Drs. Miller are graduates of The University of Houston College of Optometry and are VA residency trained in ocular disease management. Dr. David is originally from Manhattan, KS, and Dr. Susan is from Yukon, OK. The doctors see patients of all ages and their scope of practice include ocular disease management of diabetes and glaucoma, surgical co-management of cornea and cataract procedures, treatment of eye injuries, infections and foreign body removal, contact lens fitting as well as primary care optometry. Their office has an optical with a large inventory of frames and contact lenses.
The office has four full-time staff members. Amanda Carullo was hired soon after the Millers joined the practice and will be celebrating her 20th year with them in September. Amanda is certified in Optometric Administration and is a Certified Para Optometric Assistant. She is known as the office’s ‘Optical Hostess’ and is there to assist in the journey to your best vision. Sandy Smading, in charge of insurance filing, has been with the office for 18 years. Heather Agnew is the scheduling coordinator and has been with the office 8 years. Sara Pennington, the newest member of the staff, is an optometric technician and has been with the Millers 3 years. The current team of 6 has a combined total of 90 years of service at Drs. Noe, Miller & Miller!
