Yesterday, a group of our employees, staff, and community advocates traveled to our state Capitol in Jefferson City to represent our sheltered workshop. Their goal was to highlight the importance of having a voice and choice to work in a safe and supportive environment for adults with disabilities.

Northern Commissioner John Gray did an outstanding job speaking on behalf of sheltered workshops and the individuals they serve. He emphasized the importance of each individual having a voice and the right the choose their place of employment and why sheltered workshops are imperative for our communities.

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Adrian Methodist Church for the use of their bus, Ethan Daniels for driving, 125th District Representative Dane Diehl for providing lunch, and Karen Green for the generous gas donation.

Finally, we are incredibly grateful to our community for your continued support of our employees and BCI. We truly could not do this without you. ❤️
