Blu Agate Wellnessโ€™s Honerable Mention this Month is Tina Wambeke from Restoration Massage Therapy.
Let me just tell you something about this gem of a person.. Tina has been practicing massage therapy for over 15 years. She is the most intuitive massage therapist I have ever been to. She is well educated in Swedish, deep tissue, craniosacral, and lypossage. She is also kind, gentle but deep, and has an angelic like presence. I highly recommend booking a session with her!
You can reach Tina at 406-285-4263

Things I notice about you as a massage therapist.
Part 2.

Temperature difference in your tissues. This is a great indication of blood flow but also helps me determine if the area has an emotional charge. You are an energetic being and your body is extremely intelligent. Your tissues remember how you felt during every experience in your life. Even if your conscious mind has long forgotten.

Physical responses to my touch. If youโ€™ve ever been on my table then you know that my pressure changes frequently. This is because Iโ€™m constantly checking to see how your muscles ( and breath) are responding to different types of pressure. Most bodies prefer to be in ease rather than tension. Forcing an already tight muscle to be in even more tension can make the situation worse. (Not always though, thatโ€™s why itโ€™s important to watch for physical responses)

Emotional responses. These can range between being super heavy in the moment or being very subtle. That really depends on how comfortable you feel in my space and how willing you are to let go. I see the biggest emotional responses when I do visceral manipulation. The organs can tell you so much about a person and to the trained hand, they can also guide you to the area that needs the most attention.

Lastly, I notice your energy when you come out of the treatment room. Are you tired? Are your eyes sparkly? Chakras bright and glowing? All these things can tell me how Iโ€™m going to approach your next session. Itโ€™s important to note that all responses are messages from your body that are worth listening to. For instance, if you feel very tired after your session it could be because your body wants you to rest.

Things I notice about you as a massage therapist.
Part 1

The body doesnโ€™t lie. So here are some things I notice about you when you walk into my office.

First I notice your energy when you come in. Is it cloudy? Is it vibrant? Sometimes when we have a lot going on our energy is scattered and we are not fully grounded within ourselves.

Next I notice your posture. I notice what side of your shoulder is carrying a bag and which hand is holding your phone. (If you have those items of course) I may even ask to stand in front of you so I can look at how youโ€™re standing and if there is any uneven weight distribution on any of the planes of your body.

When you are on the table I notice how your body looks while lying down. Are your hips even? Are your shoulders scrunched up to your ears? Is there a sway down the midline of your body?

During your massage I notice and pay close attention to your breath. The breath is a great indicator of your nervous system response. If your breath is really shallow it could be a sign that you are in a sympathetic state. (Fight or flight) The goal is to get you into a parasympathetic state (rest and digest) because you will receive the bodywork much better and the results will likely last longer.

๐Ÿ‚ Just a reminder that my price increase takes effect November 1st. ๐Ÿ‚
The new prices have been posted in my office since the beginning of October.

Iโ€™ll also be switching my booking app over to a different one and Iโ€™m considering opening the online booking. Yaโ€™ll know Iโ€™m not really a fan of online booking so this may or may not happen. LOL

Thank you everyone for all your support and kindness!
