📣 Montana Licensing Reform Task Force Announced
Governor Greg Gianforte has announced the members of Montana’s new Licensing Reform Task Force, created to streamline professional and occupational licensing and reduce barriers for workers—especially in the construction and health care sectors.

The task force is chaired by Sarah Swanson, Commissioner of the Montana Department of Labor & Industry, and includes a broad, bipartisan group of legislators, public health leaders, and industry representatives working to modernize Montana’s licensing systems while protecting public safety.

We are incredibly proud that Dr. Serena Brewer, a dedicated physician at Blacktail Health, has been appointed to serve as a representative of the Montana Medical Association on this important task force. Her expertise, compassion, and deep commitment to patient care make her an outstanding advocate for improving licensing pathways for Montana’s health care workforce.
At Blacktail Health, we fully support efforts to reduce unnecessary red tape and strengthen Montana’s ability to recruit and retain qualified health care professionals—especially in rural communities.

Big news! Thank you, NBC Montana, for covering our unveiling events and helping us celebrate our new name, new logo, and a new chapter, all with the same high-quality, team-based care.

“In our logo, we have three peaks in the mountain. That stands for or symbolizes taking care of a person’s physical health, mental health, and social determinants of health. And we are really focused on team-based care,” said Blacktail Health executive director Tammy Cox.

What a great two days! We had a fantastic time unveiling our new name and logo as Blacktail Health at our launch events in Butte, Anaconda, and Dillon. Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated with us—your support and excitement made it a truly memorable occasion.

From seeing our new signage go up to reconnecting with so many community members, it was a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do. We’re proud to continue serving Southwest Montana with accessible, compassionate care for all. Here’s to a bright future together as Blacktail Health!
