Rooted Tribe likes to add variety to the schedule, not only great options of different instructors but also a variety of classes.
It’s so common that we find one area of exercise that we enjoy and we forget about anything else.
💪🏻Our bodies are meant to move so any form of exercise is going to be beneficial, but to really care for our physical body we need to work on three different aspects, our strength, our flexibility, AND our mobility.
🏋🏼‍♀️Weight training helps us to incorporate these motions into our lives. Weight training is also extremely beneficial for maintaining the health of our bones which is super important as we age.
Most of our weight training exercises are not taking our joints through their full range of motion.
🧘🏼‍♀️Yoga puts the body in positions that we don’t normally do in everyday life. This helps us keep good flexibility in our muscles as well as helps to keep adequate joint mobility!
🔥💦Then we add heat! This gets our heart rate up like we are doing cardio. The human body has an impressive temperature regulation system which takes energy (calories) to maintain a consistent temperature.
Infrared heat also increases metabolism between the blood and tissue, which also burns calories.

DETOX to RETOX 🎃
Do you garden? I'm happy I don't have to rely on my skills😂
Some years are good and some not so much. These are acorn squash we planted in June. The kids think they are baby pumpkins, so we are going with that!
This time of year it is great to get seasonal squash into your diet.
🧡Eating with season is so great for your microbiome!!
🎃 Pumpkin/Squash is high in fiber. Fiber encourages the body to excrete sodium, and reduces endothelial dysfunction. Fiber can also increase insulin sensitivity and slow down food absorption.
🧡Squash has potassium. Potassium plays a huge role in thyroid health, cell health, and cardiovascular health.
🎃 Pumpkin/Squash also has Vitamin C. Vitamin C plays a pivotal role in activating enzymes, antioxidants, is a cofactor for epinepherine, and contains tyrosinase that supports the livers production of bio-available copper.
🧡Sprouted pumpkin seeds and carbohydrates are a progesterone building food which is important for weeks 3&4 of the female cycle. (Stress can also deplete progesterone) this sweet potatoe salad that is in the Gut Thrive &5 program can be helpful for balancing hormones. 🧡Food is medicine 🧡



When you focus on eating real foods, it can give the body what it needs for nourishment.
