Good brushing habits start early, and so does flossing.

Flossing should begin as soon as two teeth touch.
Parents can help floss until kids develop the hand skills to do it on their own. Flossing helps prevent cavities between teeth. Baby molars especially have a lot of surface area that touches so it is easier to get cavities between them. Flossing is very important!

Here are a few ways to help your child feel confident at the dentist.

Talk positively about dental visits. Do not allow anyone to share their negative experiences with your child. Bring comfort items like a favorite toy or blanket. A gentle, supportive approach can help reduce fear and build confidence. If there is anything you specifically think will help your child then please let our team know in advance. Our goal is to make the parent and child comfortable.
