We are pleased to announce the expansion of our Obstetrics and Gynecology office at 300 Hanover Street in Fall River. The practice, which opened in March 2025, has expanded to an additional floor to better serve the growing needs of our patients in the community.

The expansion provides more space for patient care and allows the practice to welcome Kathleen London-Lopes, CNM who joins the team with expertise in midwifery.

“This expansion is an exciting step forward for our team and for the families we serve,” said G. Uma Harinarayanan, DO, FACOG, Charlton Memorial Hospital Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Site Lead. “Our goal in 2024 when we extended our OB/GYN care to Fall River was to offer convenient healthcare access for women in our region. Now, we can serve even more patients while still delivering the same exceptional level of care they trust and deserve.”

Lucy Lee will forever be remembered ❤️

Morgan and Cory Renaud of Plymouth turned their heartbreak into hope after losing their daughter, Lucy Lee, who was born prematurely at 24 weeks on Valentine’s Day and passed away two days later.

Wanting to honor Lucy’s memory and give back to those who cared for her, the Renauds organized a co****le tournament fundraiser entirely on their own over the summer.

The tournament raised an incredible $8,000, which the Renauds donated to our Messina Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

They returned in October, during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, to make their donation in honor of Lucy and to support other NICU families.

Through their generosity and openness, Morgan and Cory are helping destigmatize pregnancy and infant loss and shining a light on the compassionate care our NICU, Birthing Unit, and Mother Infant Unit teams provide every day.

We sincerely thank them for their selfless generosity.

South Shore residents Laura and Rosie first met in the elevator at South Shore Hospital after welcoming their baby girls on July 12, 2023.

Laura welcomed Claire Caroline, while Rosie welcomed Lola Nicole.

The two moms quickly formed a friendship, joined a local mommy-and-me group, and continued to meet throughout their maternity leaves and beyond.

When Rosie texted Laura to share that she was due with her third baby on November 7, 2025, Laura was shocked: she was expecting as well, and the two friends had the same due date!

Although their babies didn’t arrive on the same day this time, their stays at South Shore Hospital overlapped, allowing them to share another special moment together, pictured in this photo.

Laura welcomed Hadley Jane on October 31, and Rosie welcomed Josephine “Joey” Dianne on November 2.

It was another serendipitous moment for their growing families, though the girls do joke Rosie “lapped” Laura in babies since Rosie had Cecilia Carolyn in August of 2024.

We’re proud to play a small part in their friendship and to celebrate their special South Shore Hospital connection!
