Research has shown, many times over, that productivity is not tied to the number of hours you sit at your desk.

➡️The truth is, the more time we spend at work or thinking about work, the more likely we are to get burned out. Burnout leads to lower productivity, less job satisfaction, and increased health risks.

✨A better work/life balance leads to improved efficiency and better overall health.

If you’re wondering where to start, we’ve got you covered. We offer simple and effective ideas to help improve work/life balance —with the first two, you can start now. Check out our blog for more burnout tactics.

If you're struggling, were here for you. Contact us at (616) 499-4711 and ask about a FREE 15-minute consultation.

📱 Do you relate to any of these red flags? Your phone could be taking over your day.

Smartphone addiction can sneak up on you—hurting your focus, sleep, and even your relationships.

It is also important that we now consider establishing healthy boundaries with our digital devices. Below are some ways we may do so:
📵 Turn off smartphones during staff meetings, meals at restaurants, meals at home, driving, and while watching movies.
💻 Avoid checking emails before 9:00 am.
👀 Do not check social media until the end of the day.
👥 When possible, opt for in-person communication over phone, text, or email

Sometimes, the healthiest connection is face-to-face.

If you find yourself struggling with addictions or connecting in your relationships, we're here for you.

Habits shape our days in ways we hardly notice. The routines we repeat free up mental space, letting us tackle what truly matters. But it's easy to fall into less helpful patterns—especially when something brings quick comfort, even if the cost shows up later. That short burst of relief can make unhelpful habits especially stubborn.

If you've noticed a habit you’d like to change, you’re not alone—and you’re not stuck. On our blog, we share in depth three practical strategies for real, lasting change.

And remember, asking for support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Sometimes talking things through with a trusted doctor or therapist is exactly what you need to understand your patterns and start making healthier choices. If you’re curious about how habits work, or just want someone in your corner, our therapists are here to help. Reach out—we’re ready to walk with you.

❄️ Winter can bring snowflakes, snowmen, peace, joy, and good tidings. But for people with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), winter can also bring serious depression.

Each year, around 5% of people in the US experience SAD. This is more than just a case of the blahs and can have a major impact on a person’s ability to function.

We share 4 statistics on who's at risk the most and offer practical ways to be proactive. On our blog, we go in-depth on treatment and whether or not it's more than seasonal sadness.

If you're struggling with seasonal sadness or suspect it's something more, we're here for you. Call and schedule with one of our counselors today.

On this Thanksgiving, we’re reminded how powerful it can be to stop, take a breath, and give thanks — for the little things, the big moments, and the people who lift us up.

No journey is too small to celebrate, and no struggle is too big to be faced alone. As you gather at your table — whether surrounded by loved ones or finding your own moments of peace — know that gratitude grows even in life’s hardest seasons. 💚

If this holiday feels heavy or brings up more than thanks, we’re here to help. Contact us at (616) 499-4711 — you never have to go it alone.

Abuse isn't always physical, and gaslighting isn't just about lying – it's about dismantling someone's trust in themselves. Studies show that interventions for domestic violence victims can be effective, particularly when victims receive support in recognizing and naming their experiences.

If you recognize these patterns – constant self-doubt, feeling crazy or oversensitive, struggling to trust your memory – you're not alone.

Schedule for a Free consult (bi-lingual counselor available) or contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or text "START" to 88788. Whether the abuse is physical or psychological, your experiences are valid, and your reality matters. Breaking free starts with trusting yourself again.
