At Cabot Health & Wellness our patients safety is top priority so we are sharing car seat safety information again.

-Safest to keep all babies rear facing until they have reached the max weight or height on their rear facing convertible car seat. This is usually around age 3-4.

-The chest clip should always be positioned at armpit level. Tighten the straps so you are unable to pinch then at the shoulders.

-Transition to a Forward facing 5 point harness per car seat recommendations, usually around age 5.

-High back booster until your child is able to sit in a booster with the shoulder belt correctly positioned off the neck.

-Booster seat until you can answer YES to all the steps to sit without it. See photo.

-No children in the front seat until at least age 13!

‼️ REMINDER‼️
We have a food pantry outside the clinic to help those in need.
This food pantry has helped numerous families during difficult times.
We appreciate everyone who has donated and those who continue to do so.
With the government shut down there is an increased need in the community.

If you bring donations and the pantry is full please bring the items inside the clinic, we will monitor and keep it stocked with the donations we have.

If you are in need of food and the pantry is empty, please come inside the clinic and let us know. If we have items we can get those for you and if not we can notify you once we have more.

Thank you for helping feed our community!

Parents!!! It’s getting cooler out and winter is approaching, we want to make sure you are keeping your child safe in their car seats.

- No jackets or coats on while in the car seat
- Place the jacket or coat on backwards over the buckled child
- Make sure the straps are tight, unable to pinch any strap at the shoulders and the chest clip is in line with the ni***es or armpits.

Please watch this short video! It could save your child’s life!

A big mistake parents make during the winter is putting their children in car seats with their jackets on - here's why.
