"It’s actually very common for people to confuse sciatica with sacroiliac joint dysfunction."
Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Dysfunction is a very common cause of lower back and leg pain and most people have never heard of it!
The SI joints connect your spine to your pelvis. When they get irritated, inflamed, or don’t move quite right, they can cause:
✅ Pain on one side of the low back or buttock
✅ Pain that may travel down the leg (but usually not past the knee)
✅ Stiffness or a feeling of instability in the hips
✅ Pain when sitting, standing, or getting out of the car
This kind of pain is often mistaken for sciatica, but it’s a different issue with a different solution.
Chiropractic care can help restore proper movement, reduce pain, and help you get back to doing what you love.
If you’ve been told “It’s just sciatica,” and you’re still hurting… it might be time for a second opinion.
