Healing Private Wounds wants to thank everyone who donated to our Easter Treat Bags for all inmates of Wexford County Jail, and all the Correction Officers. The outpouring of kind hearts was amazing. Unfortunately, we found we could not disperse the treats due to dietary restrictions. If you would like to come to HPW and pick up the treats you shared, please do so. Our address is 421 S. Mitchell St. We are open M-F from 10am-5pm. If you would like us to use your treats for our "Child Abuse Awareness Day" on April 25, we will do that. On that day we will be outside our center from 11am-1pm. We would love to have you join us for that important event. Bring a lawn chair if you are unable to walk and don't forget to bring your sign.

Expressive Arts Group for Stress and Anxiety


Healing Private Wounds is offering a 10 week expressive arts group. The purpose of this group is to provide a creative outlet for exploring stress and anxiety in our lives within a safe, supportive environment. The group will include various modes of expressive exploration (art, poetry, drama, music, etc.). Each week members will explore various aspects of stress and anxiety and learn coping skills to address it in their lives.

When: Every Tuesday beginning April 21st and Ending July 7th
Where: At the Healing Private Wounds Community Center-421 S. Mitchell St. Cadillac, Time: 11-12:15pm (the first meeting may be slightly longer)

*It is encouraged to bring your own sketchbook if you are able to keep products together.
