Merry Christmas! We had a fun and wonderful day celebrating the holiday. The afternoon was filled with music, good food, presents and a visit from Santa. We were so blessed by all of the great people that helped us make this holiday special for our beloved residents. Thank you goes out to the following for assistance with our angel tree, Wallonia Baptist Church, Donaldson Creek Church, Bloomfield Baptist Church, Revival Church, VFW Auxiliary, The Hargrove Family, The Stewart Family and Shady Lawn Staff-both past and present. Thanks to Liberty Point Church and Donaldson Creek Church for the goody/gift bags. Thank you to Delmont Baptist Church for the poinsettia plants. Thanks for the various cards and treats sent to our staff. And a big thank you to Rick Shaw, a.k.a., "Santa", for doing a great job and bringing lots us smiles and laughter to our party. We could not have done all of this without the assistance of others. We truly appreciate the wonderful community of Trigg County.

Thanks to Jeffers Bend Steering Committee and Pennyrile Resource Conversation & Development Area Council for the gift of snacks and Christmas cards today for our residents. The cards were made by the children and young adults that participated in the Christmas at the Bend event this past weekend, and students from Christian County Schools and Gateway Academy in Hopkinsville. We are very grateful and appreciative to them for thinking of especially during this holiday season. We feel very blessed.

What a fun time we had at the Christmas parade. Our float won "best use of lights". It was so much fun to see the smiling faces of all the children as they watched the floats go by. We want to thank those in the community who let us borrow items to make our float complete as well as staff that made it all come together. Thanks, go out to Raymon Oliver, Helen Thomas, Tina Thomas, and Toni Lee Thomas. We love being part of and involved with our wonderful community.

What a fun afternoon we had full of laughter, smiles, and singing. We started our afternoon with a visit from the Interact Club from Trigg High School. They played bingo with our residents and entertained us with several Christmas carols. Then we enjoyed Christmas stories with Katie from John L. Street library. It's always a fun day when we have visitors.
