I went to one of my good customer’s home today. I will be installing an underground shelter in the yard of his new home next week. His home, along with several others that I am contracted to install shelters for, lost their entire homes and possessions during the December, multi-state tornado that tore through Princeton, Kentucky. Such humble people, these are! It makes me feel selfish to be surrounded by my own possesions, knowing these families lost all of theirs. It humbles me to help them with security of a shelter. It humbles me to see how strong they are as survivors of such an event. It humbles me to see how they have rebounded and clawed their way back to the top. The effects of this storm are the backbone of why I started this business. This is an extremely rewarding and humbling business to be in. When I see a good customer’s anxiety level drop as soon as they open their shelter and look inside……. I am reassured I chose the right career path!
