Holiday stress doesn’t just live in your thoughts; it also shows up in your body 🧠➡️🧍♂️When the nervous system remains in a prolonged state of urgency or “fight or flight,” the body shifts resources away from your immune system, digestion, recovery, and energy production. This is why people often get sick 🤧, feel constantly tired 😴, or notice increased tension this time of year. Your body is always adapting to its environment, doing its best to keep you functioning, despite increased demands.
When we slow down enough to listen to these signals, we allow our bodies to recalibrate. Supporting the nervous system through intentional rest, gentle movement, consistent routines, and nervous system specific chiropractic care helps the body move out of survival mode and toward optimal regulation ⚖️
