Jesse Giunta Rafeh, M.A. Live Better My mission is to provide people with an opportunity to be the best version of themselves. Why do we sometimes fail to reach our potential? I can help.

We are all unique, and when we allow that uniqueness to shine, we become lovable, productive, successful and happy people. Not because we do not want to be happy and successful. Rather, it is because of obstacles that block our ability to live the life we want. It is because we have developed poor coping strategies, anxiety, depression, or self-doubt. As a teenager I struggled with all four of these obstacles, but through the process of my own therapy, I discovered that I could create the life I wanted. Because of my success, I decided to help others clear their own paths to happiness. If you feel like you are not on the path to creating fulfillment and joy in your life, call me.

Forgiveness feels complicated when it seems like you're letting someone off the hook 🪝

But the person who hurt you was almost certainly carrying their own unresolved pain. As the saying goes, hurt people hurt people... not always intentionally, not always consciously, but consistently.

That doesn't erase what happened, and it doesn't mean you have to accept it.
It just means their behavior was never really about you.

When you can see that clearly, forgiveness becomes something you do for yourself and not for them.

Save this if you're working through something like this!

My 12-week course Live Better is now enrolling. If you're ready to do this kind of work with real support, link in bio to book a free discovery call.

Think about the last time you said something you regretted 😅
.. Or shut down when you wanted to stay open. .. Or snapped at someone you love, even though that's not who you want to be.

Chances are, your nervous system was already flooded before that moment even started.

This is something I see constantly in my work!

People who are genuinely kind, self-aware, and deeply committed to growing and they still find themselves reacting in ways that don't reflect who they actually are.

When your system is activated, the part of your brain responsible for patience, clear thinking, and thoughtful communication goes offline. What happens in these moments is that you're not accessing your worst self, you're accessing your most scared self.

Regulation is the foundation that everything else is built on. When your nervous system feels safe, you think more clearly, you listen better, you make decisions you can actually stand behind.

Learning to regulate your nervous system first changes everything downstream. When you're settled inside, the version of you that you actually want to be has room to show up!

This is exactly what we work on inside Live Better. The course starts April 7!

Alone in a massive Mammoth storm and I’ve never felt more like myself ❄️🙌🏻

Just me, the mountain, and that quiet, steady place inside that feels like home!

There’s something about riding in a storm that really gives your perspective...

You just drop in, trust yourself, and feel every turn.

This is my True Self!

Living my best life, not because it’s flashy, but because it’s fully mine 🤍

A lot of high achievers worry that self-compassion will make them soft 🫣

But the clients I watch move fastest aren't the ones pushing the hardest, they're the ones who've learned to get quiet enough to hear themselves think.

Clarity comes from that place... and so does real motivation!

Save this if you needed the reminder today!

And if you're ready to do that deeper work, my 12-week course Live Better is now enrolling. Link in bio to book a free discovery call.

Most people think transformation looks like a breakthrough moment ✨

→ A decision
→ A revelation
→ Something that finally clicks and changes everything

But after working with hundreds of clients, here's what I actually see: lasting change happens slowly. In fact, it's almost boring.

It's the person who pauses before reacting, just once, and notices something new about themselves.

It's the conversation that goes slightly differently than it always has.

It's one small shift, repeated enough times that it becomes who you are.

Your nervous system doesn't trust big leaps. It trusts consistency and safety.

It grows through steps that feel manageable, not steps that feel like you're white-knuckling your way through.

So if you've ever felt like you're failing because change feels slow, you're not failing. You're actually doing it right!

The Live Better course starts April 7. Twelve weeks of exactly this kind of work. The link is in my bio to book a free discovery call!

Family days like this remind me what actually matters 🤍

No schedule or rushing through the day.

Just fresh mountain air and belly laughs with my two favorite guys 🏔️🥰

There’s something about being on the mountain that strips everything back to simple!

It’s not about the perfect run or the perfect plan...

It’s about being present and letting the day be enough!

These are the memories that stick 🤍

Grateful for days like this!

Has anyone else noticed that the moment things actually calm down, something in you starts to panic?

It's because your nervous system learned to feel safe in chaos...

Stillness feels unfamiliar, so your brain treats it like something is wrong.

Save this post if it resonates!

And if you want to take this to the next level, my 12-week course, Live Better is now enrolling students.

The version of you that keeps getting in your way? 👀

They were just trying to protect you...

They made sense once. You learned them early, in environments that required them. They kept you safe, helped you belong, helped you survive.

But you're not in that environment anymore!

And what once protected you can become the thing holding you back... in your relationships, your work, your sense of self.

The good news? Awareness changes everything✨

When you can see the pattern, you're no longer inside it. You become someone who has a history, not someone run by it.

The real change begins when you start understanding yourself from a deeper level 💛

You can evolve beyond your past 🌱

If your conversations feel surface-level…

Here’s how to create real emotional depth 👇🏻

1️⃣ Talk about feelings, not just facts.
People connect to how it felt, not your itinerary.

2️⃣ Share the good and the hard.
Vulnerability isn’t negativity. It’s letting someone see your full experience. What scared you, what lit you up, what moved you!

3️⃣ Balance listening and sharing.
Only asking questions = they feel understood, but not close to you.
Only talking about yourself = they feel informed, but not seen.

Depth comes from mutual openness!

Try it this week, and watch your connections change💛

When we’re activated, the nervous system wants relief... FAST ⚡

It pushes for resolution, for clarity, for being understood immediately.

But urgency is often a signal, not a strategy.

In those moments, pausing isn’t avoidance.

It’s choosing regulation over reaction.

Not every conversation needs to happen in the heat of the moment.

Sometimes the most respectful thing you can do, is create space first.

→ Ask what would help you settle.
→ Ask what would bring you back into your body.
→ Ask what support you need before you speak.

Because the strongest moves aren’t always loud or fast.

Sometimes they’re simply pauses.

And that’s how we live better 💛

If you’re stuck in a breakup-makeup cycle… this is probably why 😅

You’re not fully in... but you’re not fully out either.

And when you have one foot in and one foot out, they can feel it.

That energy alone can keep both of you in defense mode.

So you never actually see what the relationship is capable of.

The key?
Pick a time frame, 1 month, 3 months, whatever feels right, and go all in.

No evaluating or half-hearted effort!

Just: “I’m going to show up as the best partner I can be and see what happens.”

Then, at the end of that time frame, step back and ask:
Did we grow? Did this feel good? Is this aligned?

Clarity doesn’t come from halfway commitment.

It comes from fully trying, and then consciously choosing💛

One of those days where the memory feels loud in the best way 🥰

Out in The Village at Mammoth Lakes with my mom, Jill, Zoe, Mike, Mark, and of course my little guy tagging along!

Somewhere along the way, we found an abandoned snowball maker 😆

And Leo? He absolutely took that as his life’s calling!! 🤪

Watching him light up as he made snowballs and gleefully pelted all of us was pure joy.

It’s funny how the simplest things end up being the highlight 🤍
