Wednesdays and Saturdays are for Floral Club meetings, and they have become our favorite days of the week at Silverado Calabasas. Our talented residents gather to create the stunning arrangements you see brightening up our community.

They say it’s almost impossible to look at a flower and not smile, and we couldn't agree more! We are so grateful to our residents for sharing their passions with us. The color, fragrance, and heart they put into every vase bring so much beauty and life to our home. 💐❤️

Did you know that spaghetti grows on trees? 🍝🌳 Well... our residents at Silverado Calabasas might have wished it did after today!

In honor of National Spaghetti Day, we took a trip down memory lane to learn about the famous 1957 "Spaghetti Tree Hoax." We had a good laugh watching the vintage news clip and imagining a world where you could harvest dinner right from the backyard!

Since we couldn't find any spaghetti orchards in Calabasas, we did the next best thing: we made our own homemade Spaghetti Bolognese from scratch. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The verdict? Delicious! But we all agreed—life would be much easier if we could just pick a bowl of pasta off a branch. 😋

New York, New York! 🍎

Our Travel Club had a "delicious" time exploring the sights and sounds of the East Coast last month.

Because so many of our residents have deep roots in New York, the room was filled with incredible stories of their lives and careers in the city. To celebrate the iconic New Year's Eve ball drop, we themed our menu around NYC staples: 🌭🥗🥐.

There’s nothing like the taste of a Waldorf salad or a cheese danish to bring those "good old days" right back to the present!

The holiday festivities are officially a wrap at Silverado Calabasas, and we went out with a delicious tradition! 👑✨

We celebrated Three Kings Day with our residents and team. For many, it was their first time trying Rosca de Reyes (a sweet wreath bread) and sipping on warm, chocolatey champurrado. ☕️🥖

Between the new flavors and the upbeat rhythm of Latin Christmas songs, the party vibes were high! We love sharing these cultural traditions that bring our community closer together.

The Helping Hands Club at Silverado Calabasas came together over this rainy weekend to celebrate National Bird Day! We spent our afternoons painting and decorating birdhouses that will soon hang in our resident garden. We’re dreaming of spring sunshine and cute, chirping birds cozy in their custom homes. ☀️🌷

Our residents certainly know how to have a good time! We rang in the New Year at Silverado Calabasas with a celebration to remember. From a spectacular ball drop and dazzling fireworks show to a high-energy dance party, the spirit of joy was everywhere. We capped off the evening with a heartfelt toast, raising our glasses to the memories we’ve made and the ones yet to come.

From our family to yours, we wish you a happy and safe New Year’s Eve. We are so looking forward to an amazing 2026 filled with love, laughter, and community! 🥂✨

Team Elphaba, Team Glinda, or Team Popcorn? 🍿✨

Our residents took a trip to the Regency Theatres in Calabasas for a special screening of Wicked: For Good! We might be a house divided when it comes to Team Green vs. Team Pink, but we were totally united over those theater snacks!

We loved getting out into the community, sharing some laughs (and plenty of butter), and enjoying a magical afternoon together.

Our art class at Silverado Calabasas is officially growing, and our hearts are growing right along with it. Whether it’s a resident picking up a brush for the first time in decades or someone stepping way outside their comfort zone to try something new, the results are always impressive.

For some of our residents, these classes are a beautiful reminder of a lifelong talent. For others, it’s a brave new adventure. No matter the skill level, there is nothing quite like the moment they hold up their finished work with a giant smile.
