✨ 12 Months of Parkway Pediatrics ✨

One year already! Just like babies reaching their first birthday, this milestone is a big one — full of growth, learning, and exciting firsts.

👶 At around 12 months, many babies are:
🚶 Taking their first steps or cruising along furniture
🗣️ Saying simple words like “mama” or “dada”
👋 Using gestures like waving, clapping, or pointing
🔎 Exploring everything with curiosity and confidence
💛 Showing more independence while still looking to caregivers for reassurance

💙 Over these past 12 months, our practice has been doing something similar:
✔️ Taking big steps forward as we grow and evolve
✔️ Finding our voice and strengthening how we communicate with families
✔️ Building deeper connections with the community we serve
✔️ Continuing to refine how we deliver thoughtful, responsive care
✔️ Growing into the practice we envisioned — alongside the families who trust us

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has been part of our first year. Opening our own pediatric practice has truly been a dream come true for us. Getting to build something from the ground up and care for families in the way we’ve always believed pediatric medicine should feel has been incredibly meaningful.

Here’s to many more milestones ahead 🎉

“One day at a dinner event, my wife and I suddenly found ourselves performing CPR.”

Dr. Tolcher shares the story of a moment he never expected — but fortunately, was prepared to handle.
Moments like that are rare, but when they happen, knowing what to do matters. That’s why we’re hosting CPR workshops for our Parkway and other local families to help parents and caregivers feel confident responding in an emergency.

🗓 Our first workshop is next Saturday, March 21.

There’s something really special about being part of families’ journeys even before baby arrives. Dr. Tolcher had the honor of speaking at an expectant parent class with local certified nurse midwife, Christy Cannon — answering questions and helping parents-to-be feel prepared for what’s ahead. 👶🏻🤍

📅 They’re hosting another class on January 5 — tag or share this with an expectant parent or family in our community!

Can’t make the January 5 date but still interested? Christy offers an ongoing birth class series, as well as private and group options to support you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Visit the link in our stories or in the resources tab on our profile for more info.
