There’s something really special about being part of families’ journeys even before baby arrives. Dr. Tolcher had the honor of speaking at an expectant parent class with local certified nurse midwife, Christy Cannon — answering questions and helping parents-to-be feel prepared for what’s ahead. 👶🏻🤍

Had a great time speaking with the lovely ladies of the “Luminous League” and their amazing moms about puberty. Lots of great questions, giggles, and good reminders that puberty is normal NOT awkward.

✨ 9 Months of Parkway Pediatrics ✨

At 9 months, babies keep hitting major milestones — and our practice is right there as well.

👶 At 9 months, many babies are:
🪑 Sitting well without support
🚼 Moving with purpose — crawling, scooting, or rolling to get where they want
🖐️ Using their hands with more control, from passing objects to picking up food
👀 Showing strong curiosity and engagement with their surroundings
🗣️ Communicating with sounds, expressions, and growing personality

💙 Over these past 9 months, our practice has been doing something similar:
✅ Building a strong, steady foundation of care
✅ Staying responsive and adaptable to the needs of our families
✅ Refining our systems and workflows behind the scenes
✅ Communicating clearly to guide and support parents
✅ Continuing to learn and grow alongside our community

We’re incredibly grateful for the families who have trusted us with their children during these first 9 months. We’re proud of what we’ve built so far and look forward to many more milestones — together.

Traveling with kids this holiday season? ✈️🎄
These are the medical kit must-haves we often recommend families consider bringing along when they travel.

A little preparation can go a long way when you’re away from home.
Be sure to pack any prescription medications your child takes, along with a few extra doses if appropriate.
Before traveling, it’s also a good idea to review safe dosing for over-the-counter medications with your pediatrician and keep those doses written down in your travel kit.
