Twenty-five years wasn't nearly enough time, but if you knew Jarod, you know he made every single one of them count.

Jarod Edward "Bubba" Willison, 25, of East Palestine, Ohio, passed away on April 13, 2026 β€” leaving behind a hole in the world that only someone with his oversized heart and even bigger personality could fill. Born January 12, 2001, in Washington Court House, Ohio, Jarod had a gift for making life feel a little warmer, a little louder, and a whole lot more fun for everyone lucky enough to be around him.

If you needed something β€” anything β€”Jarod was already on his way. The kind of guy who'd hand you the shirt off his back for family and friends, before they could even finish asking, he moved through life with a generosity that felt almost impossible for someone so young. He was the first to crack a joke, the first to show up, and the last to leave β€” unless, of course, there was an Xbox waiting for him at home. An avid Call of Duty player, Jarod took his gaming seriously (even if his opponents didn't always survive long enough to appreciate it). When he wasn't conquering virtual battlefields, he could be found visiting and helping out his family or hanging out with his beloved cat, Coffee.

But Jarod wasn't all laughs and headshots β€” he had a hero in him, too. He volunteered as a Junior Fireman with the Calcutta Volunteer Fire Department, running toward the kind of situations most people run from. That was Jarod in a nutshell: carefree spirit, serious heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lee Roy Barnhart, Mark Smith, and Lester Willison Sr. He is survived by the enormous, loving crew who will carry him forward every day: his parents, Lester (Peggy) Willison Jr. and Holly Leonard; his sisters, Ashley and Elizabeth Willison; his brothers, Robert (Courtney) Stephens Jr. and Andrew (Lauren) Stephens; his grandparents, Beverly Barnhart, Phyllis Smith, Bob and Trudy Nolder, and John and Darlene Kirkpatrick; and his 11 nieces and nephews, who adored their Uncle Jarod right back, and many aunts and uncles.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jarod's life on Monday, April 20th, 2026, at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a service officiated by Life Celebrant Fawn Householder. Come ready to share a story, share a laugh, and celebrate a life that β€” though far too short β€” was beautifully, fully, and unforgettably lived.

Rest easy, Jarod. You were one of a kind.

This afternoon I went to the Valley Oaks Care Center for Craft Day. We did Sand Flower Pots and then added flowers. The residents really enjoyed this craft and they did a great job creating these pretty flower pots. Thank You Laura, Heather and Taylor for helping me and inviting me to do crafts today.

There are people who simply pass through the world, and then there are people who quietly fill it with more light than they found. Betty Stanley was the latter. Born on April 11, 1937, to Everett and Dorothy (Gamble) Wright in Calcutta, Ohio, Betty lived eighty-nine years as a woman of deep faith, tireless love, and remarkable character β€” and she slipped peacefully into eternity with her Heavenly Father on April 14, 2026, cradled in the presence of her family in Negley, Ohio.

Above all else, Betty was a woman who walked with God. Her faith was not a Sunday ritual β€” it was the very current that ran beneath every day of her life. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Rogers, she turned to the Lord in her joys and her trials alike, and He shaped her into the woman her family came to treasure. She prayed without ceasing. She loved without condition. She believed without doubt.

Home was Betty's sanctuary and her calling. As a devoted homemaker, she poured herself into the lives of her children and grandchildren with a generosity that never ran dry. She had a gift for making wherever she was feel like the most important place on earth β€” and a gift for making whoever she was with feel the same.

She was, in the best way, a woman of delightful contradictions. She could sit in hushed wonder watching birds move through the yard β€” and then haggle a yard sale vendor down to a price that bordered on legendary. She had a negotiator's instinct and a collector's eye, and her treasures, gathered penny by penny, were proudly displayed like hard-won trophies. She loved to travel and see the wide world, yet no adventure ever quite matched the feeling of coming home. And when the evening called for stillness, she would settle in to watch Gone With the Wind β€” a story she returned to the way you return to an old friend.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Dorothy Wright; her sisters Ruth and Darlene Wright; her daughter Sharon Crump; her son Daniel Carroll; her daughters-in-law Donna and Linda Carroll; and her brother Everett Wright Jr.

She leaves behind a family that is larger, louder, and more loved because of her. Her surviving sons Paul, Allen (Terri), David (Loretta), and Bradley (Rachel) Carroll. Her daughters Connie (Tom Sr.) Warrick, Dorothy (Wayne) Saling, Rhonda (Darryl) Slater, and Bobbie Jo (Bob) Keenan. She is also survived by her sister Karen (Doug) Wade, her son-in-law Jim Crump, and her sister-in-law Ruth Blessing β€” along with an impressive 37 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Betty's life during visitation on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral and Cremation Specialists in Calcutta, Ohio. An additional visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m. officiated by Pastor Ronnie Boyd. A dinner to honor her memory will be held at East Liverpool First Church of the Nazarene upon completion of the interment.

The family would like to extend their eternal gratitude to the individuals at Southern Care Hospice for all that they did for Betty. Their hard work and grace was appreciated beyond measure.

Stormi Elizabeth Emmerling, 61, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Born on September 5, 1964, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, she was a cherished daughter, devoted wife, loving mother, and adored grandmother.

Stormi attended St. Aloysius School, where she laid the foundation for a life characterized by kindness and service to others. Her career as a housekeeper began humbly, cleaning for a few families, but quickly grew into a full-time job due to her warm personality and genuine care for those she served.

Her family was her foremost priority, and she was never happier than when surrounded by her loved ones. Stormi had a beautiful soul, always placing everyone else's needs above her own. Upon becoming a grandmother, she poured her heart and affection into her grandchildren, creating treasured memories and leaving a legacy of love. Stormi had a fiery spirit that could light up any room. She was bold yet gentle in her heart, always ready to listen and comfort.

Preceded in death by her father, Frank Harper, who passed away in January 2026, as well as her sister, LeAnn Brownfield, and brother, Frankie "Bubbie" Harper, Jr.

She leaves behind her husband, Kelly Emmerling, and her devoted children: Jessica (Anthony Witherow) Willison, Kelly (Ashley) Emmerling, Jr., and Christine (Cody) Heaton all residing in East Liverpool. Her children were the very center of her world. Her love for them was constant, selfless and unconditional. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Ericka Heaton, Gabriella Heaton, Abagail Heaton, Gianna Congrove, Linkoln Emmerling, Amelia Heaton, and Luca Emmerling, who were the light of her life and will forever cherish her memory. She loved them with a quiet, steady devotion that filled every moment they shared. In their laughter, she found her greatest joy, and in their hugs, her deepest comfort. Also surviving are her loving mother, Elsie Harper of East Liverpool; her sister, Mary (David) Delaney; and brother, Francis Szatkiewicz, Jr.

Respecting Stormi's wishes, no services will be held.
