Braxton D. Glidden, age 14, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Marietta, Ohio. He was born December 24, 2011, in Cambridge, son of the late Joseph Daniel Glidden and the late Nichole K. Touville. Braxton was in the eighth grade at Caldwell Elementary School, where he was involved with FFA. He loved video games, especially Fortnight, Rainbow 6 Siege, and Call of Duty. He also loved remodeling with his uncles and thought his Grandpa Bob was the smartest man in the world. Braxton attended Outreach Ministries and was recently baptized.

Surviving are his grandparents, Lester and Barbara Freeland, Bob and Cindy Glidden, James Touville, and Sarah Baker Todd; his great-grandfather, William D. Baker; a sister, Brailyn Touville; a brother, Michael Freeland; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including Eli and Michael; and his beloved dogs, Conan and Dixie.

Friends may call Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 4-7PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Monday, March 30th at 11AM with Pastor David Cater officiating. Burial will follow at Barry’s Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to McVay-Perkins Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses by visiting Braxton’s memorial page. Ronald E. Stewart, age 78, of Ava, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at his home. He was born October 13, 1947, in Muskingum County, son of the late Paul and Audrey Coleman Stewart. Ron was a graduate of Pike High School and retired as a self-employed truck driver and he operated a registered polled hereford beef farm for many years. Ron was a member of Harmony Christian Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #386 in Cambridge. He enjoyed working the farm with his grandfather’s 1952 Cub Cadet tractor that he rebuilt and restored. He loved woodworking, using wood from the farm to craft keepsakes for family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by infant twin sons; two sisters, Susan Hall and Nancy Harding; two brothers, James and Steve Stewart; a daughter-in-law, Tiffany Wehr; and a son-in-law, Ed Watson.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine L. Ginn Stewart, whom he married September 23, 1983; his children, Lisa P. Watson of Jamestown, Audra K. Stewart of Washington Court House, Rob A. (Robyn) Wehr, Jr. of Woodstock, Georgia and Ryan A. Wehr of Caldwell; two nieces who were like daughters, Jessica D. (Tim) Lucas of Westerville and Keshia N. Mihalik of Knoxville, Tennessee; three sisters, Faye (Allen) Hughes of Delaware, Sherry Haught of New Concord and Patty (Charlie) Pavlik of Cambridge; nine grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. The funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 or to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
