Back with our Q&A series with Dr. Bleiweiss! Today, he’s addressing a common question about photo-activated platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, a treatment that helps the body heal itself naturally.

Q: What types of conditions can photo-activated PRP therapy treat?

A: Photo-activated PRP therapy can help with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including tendon and ligament injuries, osteoarthritis, sprains and strains, and cartilage injuries. It’s essentially a middle-ground treatment for those who’ve exhausted all other conservative treatment approaches without success but aren’t ready for surgery.

Beyond treating soft-tissue injuries, photo-activated PRP therapy is also used for saving thinning hair and stimulating healthy hair growth. By reawakening dormant follicles and improving scalp circulation, it helps promote thicker, fuller hair naturally and safely.

Friday Fast Fact | Did you know that the discs in your lumbar (lower back) region can re-herniate even after surgery? This is one of the potential complications of spine surgery that you should carefully consider before deciding on it.

Here at Alternative Disc Therapy, we offer ozone herniated disc treatment, which tackles the problem at its root, providing lasting or even permanent relief without you going under the knife. Proven safe, highly effective, and sustainable, ozone disc injections work by reducing inflammation and shrinking the herniated portion of the disc, thereby relieving pressure on the affected spinal nerve. Ozone injections have also been shown to support the long-term health of spinal discs.

It is Fast Fact Friday! Did you know that during knee replacement surgery, there is a chance that the nerves that run close to where the implant is placed can get damaged? This is known as peroneal nerve palsy, and it can cause loss of movement or sensation in the foot and leg. While this complication is rare, it is definitely worth considering.

Why gamble with your health and mobility when there are less invasive, safe, all-natural treatment options for your knee condition? Here at Alternative Disc Therapy, we offer a range of innovative, minimally invasive solutions worth exploring first—not last.
