Ahhh… nothing quite like that clean curb feeling ❄️➡️✨

A special thank you to Martin Contracting for clearing our lot and sidewalks, making our space more accessible and helping keep the road safer for both drivers and pedestrians alike.

They carted away over 10 truckloads of snow from the parking lot and curb piles — truly above and beyond.

We’re so grateful for local partners who help keep our community moving safely this winter.

October was a busy - and beautiful - month here at Dancy 🍂

We soaked up the good vibes at the Caldwell Street Fair, hosted a Netflix crew as they wrapped up filming in town 🎬, and enjoyed an afternoon out at North Caldwell Fire Department’s Oktoberfest.

Back at the funeral home, we freshened up our space - restriped the parking lot, shampooed the carpets, and gave everything a little fall polish.

Thank you to everyone who’s stopped by, supported, and welcomed us this season. We’re so proud to call Caldwell home 💙

We carry in our hearts the memory of all who were lost and the grief borne by their families and loved ones. We honor the bravery of first responders and the resilience of communities near and far.

Though decades have passed, the echoes of that day remain with us - a reminder of both profound sorrow and enduring strength.

The story of Dancy Funeral Home is one of service, tradition, and stewardship.

Founded by George and Dorothy Dancy in 1947, it became a local landmark for generations. In 2013, the Ippolito family carried that tradition forward with care and dedication.

We are grateful to the Ippolito family for their faithful stewardship and for choosing us to continue the Dancy legacy.

Today, the Dancy name is family-owned by the Prout family — serving West Essex for four generations since 1924, and honored to carry Caldwell’s heritage into the future.
