Georgia is barely hanging on, we prefer to keep her comfortable and help her go peacefully without scary vet visits in a cold office to “put her down”. As long as she’s going in her own home, loved and cuddled by her humans and doggy best friends, we believe it’s best for her. Today is day 7 and for the last 3 days she has refused food. 💔💔 She’s very close to going over the rainbow bridge peacefully at home. This has still been very hard for us all, emotionally and physically. But she’s worth it. 🥺🥺🥺 #

These eggs were up to 2-3 weeks old. I’d never sell them that old as hatching eggs. But since I am hatching them for a couple of people I overloaded (45 instead of 41) and I candled for duds today at day 5. So the viable fertilized eggs percentage goes down after 2 weeks, but I’m not wasting older eggs and I’m able to make customers happy. I always double set my orders if I’m using older eggs for this reason. After 3 weeks the viable fertilized eggs percentage goes down to less than 50%!! But, these older eggs were about to be fed back to the chickens anyway. Side note- if you put them in the fridge for 3 weeks, the viable fertilized eggs percentage stays higher than 90%!!

I’ve checked her for the 10 most common symptoms and can only guess at this point, leaning towards age…

My silky pen really loves fermented feed and they get it once a week and it seems to really improve their general health head to toe. I get more eggs also.
