We were proud to celebrate National Grandpa Day by honoring the incredible gentlemen who bring strength, wisdom, and stories worth sharing to our community 💙 While not all of the men we celebrated are grandfathers, we embraced the true spirit of grandfatherhood—guidance, kindness, and legacy.

In that spirit, no one was left out. Homespun Hospice was honored to share a small token of appreciation with each gentleman—a bit of chocolate 🍫 and a classic pen 🖊️—as a heartfelt thank-you for the lives they’ve touched and the moments they continue to inspire.

💙 Sabrina Golden, Memory Care Coordinator
Sabrina brings over 20 years of experience in senior care and has been a valued member of The Fountains in Calhoun for the past five years. She has recently stepped into the role of Memory Care Coordinator, where her passion, dedication, and expertise truly shine.

💙 Emily Woodard, Resident Care Coordinator
Emily joins our team with eight years of experience in the medical field. She began her career as a caregiver and worked her way up to CNA and then Med Tech. With prior experience as a Memory Care Coordinator at another long-term care community, Emily is an exceptional asset to our residents and team.

💙 Amy Hyde, DCS
Amy brings an impressive 23 years of nursing experience. Her strong leadership, clinical expertise, and commitment to quality care help guide our team and ensure the highest level of care for our residents.

🚨Winter Storm Fern Preparedness Underway🚨

As Winter Storm Fern approaches, we want to send a message to our residents’ families and friends that we are in full preparedness mode.

We have activated our Winter Weather Protocol and taken proactive steps to ensure resident safety and continuity of care, including additional food and essential supplies, emergency and life-safety readiness, generator and fuel planning, medication continuity, and on-site staffing support. Our leadership and regional teams are closely monitoring conditions and are ready to provide additional assistance to communities as needed.

The safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents remain our highest priority before, during, and after the storm.
