🎶 Performers, musicians, and entertainers — we want to hear from you!

The Downtown Calhoun Farmers' Market is now accepting applications for entertainment and performers for the 2026 season. We are looking for musicians, artists, dancers, cultural groups, and other entertainers to help bring energy and creativity to the Market from May through September.

Acoustic music, small ensembles, live art, traditional crafts, dance, and cultural performances are all welcome. Our goal is to create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere that enhances the market experience for our community.

We’re celebrating the upcoming 18th Annual Georgia String Band Festival Kick-Off Concert with Bruce Molsky and Darol Anger with something extra fun for our youngest music lovers — FREE Banjo Painting Kits for Kids!

Thanks to some generous help from Anderson Heating, Air & Insulation, these creative kits are completely free and ready to inspire little artists to learn more about the tradition of string band music before the festival on March 27 & 28, 2026.

✨ Pick up your kit during our regular open hours at the Harris Arts Center. We are open Monday through Friday from 10AM to 4PM.
✨ Create, learn, and get excited for a weekend full of music!
✨ Supplies are limited — so don’t wait!

Grab your Hop & Shop Passport at any participating downtown business and follow the trail for a chance to win one of three spring prize baskets!

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Pick up a passport at a participating store on the day of the event.
2️⃣ Make a purchase at 2 retail shops + 1 restaurant, bakery, coffee shop, or brewery.
3️⃣ Get your passport stamped at each stop on the day of the event.
4️⃣ Turn in your completed passport by 5 PM, Saturday, March 28, at the drop box inside the Gazebo (Park Ave & Court St, across from The Pink Label).

🎉 Event day fun:

Saturday, March 28th, 10 am to 4 pm

10 AM – 1 PM: The Easter Bunny & family activities

As a produce vendor, you can pull right into your spot and sell directly from your vehicle, trailer, or setup that works best for you. Plus, you’ll have an enthusiastic shopper base that’s eager for fresh, local produce!

There’s just something special about the Downtown Calhoun Farmers' Market ❤️

The laughter. The music. The smell of fresh bread. Baskets overflowing with fresh grown produce. Neighbors greeting neighbors. Farmers who’ve worked the land standing proudly behind their harvest.

Because of YOU, the 2025 Downtown Calhoun Farmers’ Market season was one of our best yet. The variety of fresh foods and artisan goods was incredible — homegrown vegetables, pasture-raised meats, local honey, baked-from-scratch breads, handcrafted soaps, flowers, jams, coffee, and so much more. It was a beautiful reminder that agriculture isn’t just part of our history in Calhoun-Gordon County — it’s our backbone. 🌾

And now… we’re ready to do it again.
