Michael C. Baird, 71, of Bunceton, MO, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at his residence. He was born October 4, 1954 and was raised in Tulsa, OK the son of Adger Clifton Baird and Alice Ervalene (Taylor) Baird whom both preceded him in death. Michael was later united in marriage on July 25, 1995 in Rogers, AR to Sue (Snoderly) Baird who survives of the home. He retired as a Welder for the Boilermakers Union in Kansas City, MO. Mike loved farming, hunting, carpentry, welding, diving, spear fishing and collecting fi****ms. He is survived by his wife, Sue Baird of the home; son, Bob Baird and wife Scarlett of Austin, TX; sister Cindy Tiemann and husband Paul of Dover, NH and due anytime, twin grandchildren, Adger Clifton Baird and Remi June Baird. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5-7 P.M at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services.

Edward “Eddie” Leo Rogers, 66, of Fortuna, MO passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025. He was born on December 5, 1958 at the Versailles Gunn Clinic the son of Elmer “Leo” Rogers and Jean (Kueffer) Rogers. Eddie was a 1976 graduate of Tipton High School. He was a Truck driver for many years working for Baughman Trucking and Siegel Trucking. Eddie enjoyed farming and tending to his cattle, watching Cardinals Baseball, WWE Wrestling and watching his grandsons play soccer and baseball. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Sample (Floyd) of Eldon, MO; his mother Jean Rogers of Latham, MO; brother, Rick Rogers (Tina) of Latham, MO; sister Dianne Brown of Latham, MO and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer “Leo” Rogers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Ronnie Griffith. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery near Latham. RoVera Forbis, 90, of California, MO passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at her home. She was born on January 21, 1935 in Martinsburg, MO the daughter of Ralph Debo and Leota (Malicoat) Debo both of who preceded her in death. She was later united in marriage on March 11, 1956 to Donald Forbis who preceded her in death on August 12, 2019. RoVera worked at Taylor’s Tire Distributors as a bookkeeper for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in California where she enjoyed her Sunday School class and being very involved in the church. RoVera liked cooking, taking care of her home, planting flowers, was a very hard worker and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by 2 daughters, Stephanie Yates (Douglas) of Mexico, MO and Cindy Renn (Paul) of Jefferson City, MO; son, John Forbis (Patricia) of Florence, MO; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Forbis. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 11:00 A.M.- 12 Noon with the funeral immediately following at 12 Noon all at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the Wellsville Cemetery. Jose Carmen Corona Juarez, 88, of California, MO passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Capital Region Medical Ctr. in Jefferson City, MO. He was born in born in El Sauz, Yuriria, Guanajuato, Mexico on February 6, 1937 the son of Baldomero Corona and Natalia Juarez both of who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage on November 25, 1994 in Moroni, UT to Cecilia Avila who survives of the home. He was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church in California, MO. Jose enjoyed fishing, futbol, riding horses, listening to music, singing, dancing and cooking. He is survived by his wife Cecilia of the home; son, Jorge Luis Corona Vazquez; 6 daughters, Silvia Corona Vazquez, Delia Corona Vazquez, Ma. de los Angeles Corona Vazquez, Dulce Rocio Corona Vazquez, Adriana Corona Vazquez and Nora Xochitl Corona Vazquez; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Delbert L. Grosvenor passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025. He was born to Henry Leslie Grosvenor and Mary Asilee Grosvenor (Huddleston) on 26 March 1933, in Brumley, Missouri. Delbert had 6 sisters and 2 brothers all who preceded him in death. Delbert finished his education after the 7th grade and would often hunt to help feed his family. He was drafted during the Korean War on 22 April 1953 and served in the 148th Infantry Regiment in the United States Army until 21 April 1955 receiving an honorable discharge. Delbert married Darlene Fay Busch on October 3, 1959, in Sedalia Missouri. In 1961, He began working as a General Maintenance Man for Southwest Steel in St. Louis Missouri. With his wife, he raised two children, Henry Wayne Grosvenor and Rebecca Fay Grosvenor. He retired from Southwest Steel on 28 February 1994 after 33 years of service. Delbert spent his retirement on his prized 250-acre farm with his wife and daughter Rebecca. Although formally retired, he continued to raise beef cattle and always had plenty of projects. Delbert was a tough, strong, and stubborn man who enjoyed making people smile with his never-ending pranks and great humor. He was a hard worker who was creative with welding and had the know how to fabricate and fix most anything. He liked to play billiards and snooker, but his favorite were cards which he would play with his wife, Rebecca, and anyone who visited at the farm. Throughout his life he became a master outdoorsman and cherished the time he spent with family and friends hunting and fishing. Delbert’s wife Darlene passed in February of 2024 after 64 blessed years of marriage. Delbert is survived by his son Henry Grosvenor, Henry’s two children Kathleen and Megan, his daughter Rebecca Grosvenor, and many nieces and nephews. Delbert passed away peacefully after 92 years, and he will be missed by the people lucky enough to know him. Please join family and friends at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral home in California, Missouri on Saturday, November, 1 2025 for a visitation from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. and a memorial service immediately following at 1:00 P.M. all at the funeral home. Delilah (Lila) Porter Adams, 85, of California, MO passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at her home. She was born on April 27, 1939 in McKees Rock, PA the daughter of William G. Porter and Geraldine R. (C**n) Porter both of whom preceded her in death. Lila later graduated from Montour Joint High School and went on to attend Pasadena College, University of Missouri and Southwest Baptist University. Lila was instrumental in the development of professional emergency care in Missouri and was one of the first paramedics to bring advanced life support to the community. She went on to work in Jefferson City for the State Government Agency who wrote and enforced laws to bring better emergency service to the citizens of the state. She was a staunch advocate for the improvement of ambulance services and people of rural Missouri and promoted improved education for the EMT’s and Paramedics licensed in Missouri as well as on the National level. Lila’s main purpose in life was devoted to the happiness and well-being of her family. She loved telling them that she came to Missouri in 1970 and “Look What I Started”. Started “Yes” but the accomplishments are all theirs and no one could be prouder of them. The other joy in Lila’s life was her many unique and special pets that brought so much pleasure, not only to her life, but in sharing them with the children. She was a life long member of the ASPCA and local animal shelter. Her children were raised with horses, dogs, cats, a racoon and even a baby Blue Jay they brought home from the park. One outstanding pet was her first African Gray Parrot, Piper and then a rescued African Gray she named Amazin. These wonderful birds would entertain her all day long.
Lila is survived by her son, Brett Adams and wife Melanie of California, MO; daughter, Geraldine “Jerri” A. Adams of Jefferson City, MO; 5 grandchildren, Tawnya Clause, Elaina Howser, Michael Lehman, Jacob Adams and Katie Adams; 7 great grandchildren, Elly Clause, Emilia Clause, Mason Howser, Miles Howser, Mila Lehman, Bryleigh Lehman and Huxley Lehman; stepson, Mike Hoose. She is preceded in death by two brothers and a stepdaughter, Diana Skaggs. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 12 Noon- 1:00 P.M. with the funeral immediately following at 1:00 P.M. all at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Jeremy Barnard. Interment will follow at the California City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Central Missouri Humane Society. He was born on November 13, 1969 in Sand Diego de la Union GTO, Mexico the son of J. Refujio Leyva and Emelia Espinosa both of whom preceded him in death. He was later united in marriage on November 29, 2003 at Lebanon Baptist Church to Jana (Yarnell) Leyva. He enjoyed working for Capital Paving and Construction for over 20 years. He was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in California, MO. Angel enjoyed yard work, watching the San Francisco Forty Niners, hunting with his brothers, traveling and especially spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Jana Leyva of the home; son Mathew Leyva of K.C. MO; 2 daughters Mackenzie Kueffer of Jefferson City, MO and Ashley Leyva of Lawrence, KS; also 11 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. with Funeral Mass immediately following at 11:00 A.M. all at Annunciation Catholic Church. Teresa (Bolin) Dunham Rich, 65, of California, MO, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 31, 1960 at Nellis Air Force Base Hospital in Las Vegas, NV the daughter of Jesse R. Bolin and Violet M. (Connell) Bolin. Teresa was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in California. Over the years she worked for Cargill, Active Learning Ctr. and lastly Manager of Casey’s where she spread her kindness and giving to the whole community. She was a member of Pay It Forward where she would help people in need. Her most cherished part of her life has been being a Nana to her grandchildren, whom she tried to never miss a school function or game. Teresa is survived by her mother, Violet M. Bolin of California, MO; daughter, Christinia Booth (James) of California, MO; two sons, Christopher Dunham (Debra) and Brandon Dunham (Courtney) all of California, MO; sister, Maria Newkirk (Guy) also of California, MO; 8 cherished grandchildren, Gavin Booth (Abby), Brecklyn Booth, Griffin Booth, Natalie Booth, Kendra Dunham, Landen Dunham, Peyton Dunham, Charley Dunham and one great granddaughter, Jensyn Booth and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Herschel Dean Connell, 86, of Jamestown, MO passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at The Neighborhoods by Tiger Place in Columbia, MO. He was born on October 22, 1938 near Marion, MO the son of John Edward Connell and Eunice (Bailey) Connell both of whom preceded him in death. Herschel was a graduate of Jamestown High School. He later joined the United States Army as a Specialist 2 and was instrumental in building the Highway to Freedom in Vietnam. Herschel worked for the SCM Corporation and retired with the USPS as a technical support employee. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Herschel enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing softball. He is survived by a son Jeff Connell (Jill Allen) of Columbia, MO; 1 grandaughter, Danielle Spears (Vince); 2 great grandchildren Jospehine Mae Spears and Isaiah Dean Spears and special friend, Mary Anne Owens.
