Though he was only with us for a short time, Henry brought immeasurable love and joy to his family. He was deeply cherished by his parents, Justin and Maddison Roerig.

Henry spent his entire life surrounded by family in the NICU, where he faced each day with a quiet bravery that touched everyone. During his time there, Henry underwent three surgeries and multiple additional procedures, each one met with resilience and surrounded by constant love. On his second day of life, Henry was baptized in the Catholic Church, a sacred moment that reflected Justin and Maddison’s deep faith and their prayers that he would always be held in God’s love and protection.

Justin and Maddison would like to thank the nurses who cared, advocated, and loved for Henry every single day. They celebrated his good days and comforted him through the hard ones. His parents knew that Henry heard their voices, felt their touch, and their love. Thank you, Valerie, Kathleen, Lamiya, Becca, Mary, Aimee, May, and all staff of the NICU and PICU.
