Funeral Homeowners, Services, Directors, Healthcare Providers, Clergy, Faith Leaders, Law Enforcement, and Community Stakeholders,

Congressman Danny K. Davis, would like to invite you to their follow-up status meeting from the focus of the last meeting addressing your concerns with the Medical Examiner’s Office.

This meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 18th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Malcolm X College, 1900 W. Jackson, (Conference Center) Room 1106, Chicago, Illinois 60612. Please feel free to use the school parking lot (remember to validate your parking ticket before leaving the meeting) or there is street parking available.

This follow-up status to the quarterly meeting is solutions-focused, and have made great strides in problem-solving. In this meeting, The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, Cook County Commissioner Tara Stamps, Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller, and a representative from Cook County Commissioner Dennis Deer’s Office will be in attendance.

This informational meeting will aid in amending and creating new policies and procedures along with addressing safety issues for Funeral Homeowners, Services, Directors, Clergy, Faith Leaders, and Community Stakeholders. We hope your schedule will permit you to join us.

Anyone who needs assistance passing the NBE, on behalf of Malcolm X College, Tionya Spriggs, the Program Director, is hosting a FREE 4 week NBE Review Course. People have the option of attending daytime 10 AM - 2 PM or evening 5 PM to 9 PM every week Monday thru Friday.

Only people who are committed to attending the full 4 weeks should register. Interested parties can call Director Spriggs at 312-850-7214 or email at tspriggs1@ccc.edu to register.

The review course is IN PERSON ONLY. There is NOT an Online/Zoom option. The review course will be utilizing the NBE Exam Prep program and strongly recommend attendees to purchase the program by the start of the course.
