Wellbridge Addiction Treatment & Research Everyone who seeks our help deserves to overcome addiction & enjoy a life of sustained recovery. Wellbridge is an LGBTQIA+ friendly organization.

We treat patients 18 years and older with drug and alcohol addictions, including co-occurring disorders. Our personalized approach to care addresses the needs of individuals who are entering treatment for the first time and those who have been through rehab before and are seeking a more sustainable path to long-term recovery. We recognize that the family suffers alongside the patient and integrate treatment and support programs for the family.

Snow day at Wellbridge ❄️☃️

Our patients made the best out of the snow storm — laughing, connecting, and building the official Wellbridge snowman.

Recovery isn’t just about the hard work (though there’s plenty of that). It’s also about rediscovering joy in the simple moments — fresh air, teamwork, and acting like kids again for a little while.

Today reminded us that healing can look like snowball fights, shared laughter, and a snowman standing proudly as proof that fun and recovery go hand in hand.

Today, Wellbridge turned purple to help bring about awareness and acceptance of mental health disorders. Throughout the week, our clinical team engaged our patients in discussions about breaking stigma surrounding their diagnoses and ways to seek support for mental health needs. Patients explored these themes through verbal counseling groups, recreational therapy groups, art therapy groups, and wellness-based groups.

At Wellbridge, we understand the amount courage that it takes to ask for help and we will be there every step of the way to support the process!

Last week, Wellbridge Staff and Alumni traveled to our state capital for Stand Up for Recovery Day, meeting directly with elected officials to share lived experience and advocate for the recovery community as a whole which included Universal Access to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) the ask: Support legislation and enforcement mechanisms that make MAT universal, enforceable, and accessible statewide. Also, Sustainable Funding for Treatment and Recovery Services, the ask-Support sustained…while insurance-driven limits often cap inpatient stays and cut treatment days short, forcing people to leave care based on coverage timelines rather than clinical need, accountable funding for prevention, treatment, and recovery supports. This weekend’s alumni event-Renewal & Recovery-"Creating a Vision for the New Year" was a powerful reminder that healing isn’t always about fixing who we were—it’s about understanding ourselves with honesty and compassion.

Seeing alumni reconnect with their younger selves, create vision boards rooted in safety, growth, and hope, and support one another in the process was deeply meaningful. Renewal happens when we choose to show up differently for ourselves—and recovery gives us the space and support to do just that.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with openness, courage, and heart. We’re grateful to walk this journey with you. Thank you Thrive Recovery Centers in Westbury for opening up your beautiful space for us!
