SMR Counseling Services is a proud sponsor of the screening of “Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round,” a documentary about the desegregation of Glen Echo Park.

The screening, hosted by the JCRC of Greater Washington in partnership with Montgomery College, B'nai Israel, Adat Shalom, and the Montgomery County Committee Against Hate and Violence, will take place on February 19th at 6:00 PM on Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus, and will include a light reception for student and community leaders around 5:15 pm.

Guest speakers at the event will include the film’s director, Ilana Trachtman, and Tina Clarke, one of the original protestors. Registration will be capped at 200. Individuals interested in attending can register at this link.

Do you know any high school athletes struggling with the pressure of their sport? Maybe they are struggling to balance their performance on and off the field or court? This group is for them!

As a counselor with SMR Counseling Services, LLC, I serve student athletes who find themselves stuck and in need of the right tools to play their best. This January, my high school mentee and I will lead a peer support group for high school athletes to improve performance anxiety, reduce stigma, build coping skills, and teach student-athletes how to maintain calm under pressure!

The group is entirely FREE (Maryland Residents)
