We don’t typically see or even talk to the other women in our lives about the color, consistency and amount of Blood we each release every month, and perhaps that is what leads to the confusion about what is even normal!
🩸A normal, healthy cycle looks like fresh (not bright) red blood with no spotting, clots or cramps.
If your blood is purple, dark red, or brown, there is likely an element of blood stagnation going on. If it’s scanty, light red or pink, that would be blood deficiency. A bright red color usually indicates heat.
Hormonally, you could see the pattern of spotting before flow as low progesterone and a scanty or light flow as low estrogen.
So here’s your invitation to begin observing your blood to take your first steps towards healing!
