We are a non-profit, faith-based organization, open to all, that celebrates and respects the dignity and inherent worth of each person.

AlmaVia of Camarillo provides assisted living and memory care for seniors in a warm, intimate environment that celebrates the dignity and individuality of each resident. From our pet-friendly environment to our onsite beauty salon and library, our beautiful campus houses a vibrant community based on friendship, warmth, and dignity. We are proud to have had the same owner/operator and committed, compassionate staff since our inception 10 years ago.

It was a joyful afternoon at AlmaVia of Camarillo with live entertainment from Joe and Debbie Green! 🎶🎄🎤❤️

They put on a very fun show filled with festive Christmas songs that brought the holiday spirit to life. Residents loved having lyric sheets so they could sing along, clap, and be part of the music.

For older adults, singing along to beloved classics sparks happy memories, lifts mood, and creates a sense of togetherness that's hard to beat—pun intended.

The community truly enjoyed welcoming residents and their families to the annual Christmas Brunch at AlmaVia of Camarillo! 🎄🎅❤️

Everyone loved the delicious spread—prime rib, chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes, and a breakfast bar that had something for everyone. It was so special to see families gather, share plates, and make memories at a wonderful holiday celebration.

For older adults, time spent with family isn't just heartwarming—it's genuinely good for the soul. These moments of connection help reduce stress, boost emotional well-being, and remind residents just how loved and cherished they are. And let's be honest, everything tastes a little better when you're surrounded by the people who matter most!

A visit by the Channel Island Harmony Choir at AlmaVia of Camarillo. 🎅🎄🎁

The community had such a wonderful time welcoming the group this week to share their talents. The men came dressed in full holiday spirit and filled the room with beautiful choral music that brought smiles, laughter, and plenty of cheer.

The residents truly enjoyed the performance and had a great time singing along and soaking in the festive atmosphere. Events like this support the emotional and social domains of wellness, creating meaningful connections and joyful moments for everyone involved.

Exercising with Kristine at AlmaVia of Camarillo. 🙆‍♂️🙆

Residents started their week off strong by attending a morning exercise class. They worked on strength, range of motion, coordination, and endurance, engaging all the muscle groups throughout their body. Hand exercises were also incorporated to help maintain fine motor skills and hand dexterity.

These exercises help them maintain independence and confidence in their daily activities. Regular movement also promotes better posture, joint health, and increased energy levels!

Residents spent a lovely afternoon together enjoying a festive wine-and-cheese pairing.🍷🧀

They sipped some of their favorite wines, sampled delicious cheeses, and shared wonderful conversations. The star of the day? Definitely the cranberry goat cheese—a clear favorite among residents, with everyone coming back for seconds!

Social events like this give residents the chance to try new flavors, reminisce about old favorites, and most importantly, enjoy each other's company. Research shows that regular social engagement helps older adults stay mentally sharp, lifts spirits, and creates a genuine sense of belonging. And honestly, is there a better way to spend an afternoon than with good wine, great cheese, and even better friends? 🥂

The gentlemen residents and directors came together for a wonderful edition of their Men's Breakfast program. 🍳☕☀️

Everyone enjoyed a hearty meal, good conversation, and plenty of time to connect with one another.

Events like the Men's Breakfast aren't just about the food. Social connection is one of the most important ingredients for healthy aging. Regular gatherings with friends help reduce feelings of isolation, boost mood, and even support cognitive health. Plus, there's real value in creating spaces where residents can build friendships, feel a sense of belonging, and enjoy each other's company. It's community at its best. 🤝

Thanksgiving celebration at AlmaVia of Camarillo. 🦃🥧🥣

The community was excited to spend the holiday filled with joy, gratitude, and togetherness at their annual feast.

We were delighted to host so many families who came to share this special day with their loved ones. The delicious spread included turkey, ham, stuffing, potatoes, a fresh salad bar, an omelet station, and several kinds of pie for everyone to enjoy!

It was truly a beautiful day, and everyone's hearts were full as families gathered, laughed, and shared meaningful times. Thank you to everyone who joined and made Thanksgiving at AlmaVia so memorable.

Residents enjoyed a fun painting class with Elaine this week! The talented artists created some gorgeous fall-inspired masterpieces.

Painting classes like this are wonderful medicine for emotional wellness. Art encourages self-expression in ways words sometimes can't—it's a chance to let creativity flow freely and boost confidence with every brushstroke. The relaxation that comes from focusing on something you love actually helps reduce stress and anxiety while keeping the mind sharp and engaged.
