Congratulations on your honorable mention, Pastor Darrel. We are thankful for you!

Today we would like to honor Darrel Schrock, one of our Campus Pastors at GPC! Darrel was honored at our PHS Leadership Retreat as Honorable Mention for the Christian Ministry Award! There were over 2,100 nominees this year for the CROSS awards! Darrel’s coworkers, friends and residents nominated Darrel for this award. “Darrel is a wonderful campus pastor. He is so dedicated to all on campus here at GracePointe”. “I am very thankful he is here onsite as he is so kind, and truly has a heart for Jesus”. Darrel’s devotional messages are always well thought out and engaging. He takes time to speak through the messages.” Well deserved, Pastor Darrel! Thanks for all you do!!

On Friday, Riverwood Village kicked off the season with a Thanksgiving Dinner, and it’s couldn’t have been sweeter.
We had turkey and all the fixings, but the best part was the company. Residents gathered together, shared stories, laughed, and enjoyed an afternoon with neighbors.
Grateful for good food, good people, and moments like these. 🦃🍂

🌿 A new chapter, rooted in faith 🌿

With heartfelt gratitude and prayerful consideration, we’re pleased to share that Avinity senior living communities including Riverwood Village, are officially part of the Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) family.

After six years of faithful partnership, this integration reflects a shared mission to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults. Residents will continue to experience the same compassionate care and vibrant community life—now with expanded resources and long-term stability.

We’re also celebrating Avinity’s 55-year legacy through meaningful tributes that honor its spirit of nurturing body, soul and spirit.

This is more than a transition—it’s a continuation of a Christ-centered calling. Thank you for being part of this journey. 💚
