We've served the City of Cambridge since 1969, providing emergency medical services in cooperation with the Cambridge Fire, Police and Emergency Communications Departments. Pro EMS partners with Emerson Hospital to provide advanced life support (ALS) services to the communities of Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Lincoln, Maynard, Stowe and Weston, collectively known as the Central Middlesex Emergency Response Association (CMERA), operating under the Emerson Paramedics brand. Primary backup services are provided to the towns of Watertown and Belmont. Pro EMS also works with several related entities. Pro EMS Center for Medics, a CoAEMSP accredited paramedic and EMS training center, Prodigy, a CAPCE accredited online learning management system and Pro EMS Solutions, our EMS reimbursement, technology and administrative services division. We’ve been recognized by numerous state and national organizations for our commitment to excellence. Pro EMS was the first ambulance service in Massachusetts to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) and we are current members of the Academy of International Mobile Healthcare Integration (AIMHI), a national collective of high-performance EMS systems.
