In eating disorders, food and the body can become central organizing forces, offering rules, distraction, and a sense of control. Managing food can become a stand-in for managing life.

But while this “false power” may feel stabilizing, it ultimately narrows a person’s world and disconnects them from connection, purpose, and authenticity.

This article “Why Nutrition Is Both Essential and Complicated in Eating Disorder Recovery” unpacks how recovery involves holding two truths at once: rebuilding nourishment while gently shifting power away from food and back into the fuller landscape of a person’s life.

There is growing interest in the association of the gut microbiome with diseases, including psychiatric disorders. In this training, the most recent research related to the complex interplay between digestive disorders and eating disorders is reviewed.

In this workshop, "The Gut Brain Connection" you will learn about the four most common pathways that lead to digestive symptoms in this population, as well as how alterations in the gut microbiome, immune function, and neuroinflammation are observed in the ED population, and what the subsequent effect is on recovery.

As clinicians, the books we’re most drawn to often reflect the work we’re doing in our own lives.

If you’re a clinician, pay attention to the stories that move you - they often mirror the questions, values, and healing you’re already engaged in.

Embodiment, relationship, and identity are deeply interconnected.

Many of the most impactful books explore how our bodies carry history, how relationships shape our sense of self, and how meaning emerges through lived experience.

These stories remind us that healing isn’t just something we think our way into - it’s something we feel, practice, and experience in connection with others.

Recovery begins in spaces where people feel safe enough to tell the truth.

Safe enough to say, “No one saw this because of my size.”
Safe enough to say, “I thought I had to earn care.”
Safe enough to say, “I didn’t think this field was for someone like me.”

Being heard changes lives.

Be honest here… Do you think you make your clients feel this way? Is it challenging to do or comes naturally in your work?

The Clinical Q & A Library was created as an option for clinicians in my Food & Body Image Healers® community who often find themselves thinking, “I wish I could go back and listen to that advice again.”

Oh, in case you wondered, one of the benefits of taking one of my 3 core training courses is getting access to this private community of clinicians.

Anyone in that group can get added support and access inside the Library. This is where you’ll find a collection of archived Clinical Q & A discussions, with new topics added regularly, so the resource will continue to grow over time.

Founding Members who enroll by April 15th receive:

✔ Locked-in pricing ($9/month or $108/year)
✔ Access to future additions to the Library
✔ Two Open House Q & A sessions annually with the annual membership

If you’re curious about the Library or about joining the Food & Body Image Healers® community through one of my courses, my team can help.

I asked myself a simple question: Why did these books stay with me?

Looking back at my favorite reads of 2025 revealed clear themes around story, relationship, and lived experience - across both fiction and nonfiction.

I’m sharing the full list and reflections on my blog.

What was a book that stayed with you over the past year?

One sure way to become obsessed with your food choices is to ignore what your body is craving.

My “What Are You Hungry For” meditation will show you one way to identify what it is that you are truly craving, and it encourages you to follow through and eat that food more often!

Over the past 7 years, Facebook Lives (now called Clinical Q & A sessions) have taken place inside the Food & Body Image Healers® private Facebook group for folks who have taken one of my 3 core training courses.

But not everyone wants to rely on Facebook to access them, and Facebook has been making it complicated.

But now we have the Clinical Q & A Library - which provides a dedicated place to revisit those discussions and submit questions - without needing to use Facebook.

It’s a professional reference designed for clinicians in the group who want to return to thoughtful clinical discussions over time.

If you’ve ever wanted to take one of my courses and wondered if there was any extra access to me as part of it - well, there is…

Reach out to my team to ask how to join the Clinical Q & A Library.

Our Story

Marci RD Nutrition: Food & Body Image Healers® helps clinicians and clients alike develop smart, enduring strategies for overcoming eating disorders, disordered eating, and the backlash of chronic dieting.

Our organization serves two groups of people – individuals looking to develop a healthier relationship to food and their bodies and clinicians seeking training on how to counsel individuals in recovery from eating disorders and disordered eating. However, a single working philosophy informs the work we do in both fields.

Marci developed her online training institute designed specifically to educate and empower dietitians to work in the field of eating disorders. She is proud of her online training institute and looks forward to building her library of training opportunities in the coming years. In addition to her online teaching, she is an internationally recognized and sought after speaker. She loves developing and giving talks and workshops to her fellow colleagues.
