Hospice of Guernsey provides compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury, Support is provided to the person’s loved ones as well.

Hospice provides quality, compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness. Hospice and palliative care involves a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support that is specially tailored to each person’s needs and wishes. The focus of hospice relies on the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free and with dignity, and that our loved ones will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so. Hospice focuses on caring, not curing and, in most cases, care is provided in the person’s home. Hospice care also is provided in nursing homes and independent living facilities. Hospice services are available to patients of any age, religion, race, or illness. Hospice care is covered under Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans. Hospice of Guernsey, Inc. receives United Way assistance as well as donations and fundraising events to help patients who have no source of payment. No one is refused services due to the inability to pay. The care hospice provides brings hope to help people live life as fully as possible. It offers dignity when there is not a cure, and it surrounds families with love during one of life’s most challenging times.

What a fun way to start off trunk or treat season. "Queen Beamer" joined us at Cardinal Place on Wednesday. She is always the hit of the party. Thursday evening we were among several area organizations at the Cambridge VA event. Love to see so many smiles and sound of children's laughter.

Join us this week as we start off our trick or treat fun. Wednesday we will be at Cardinal Place celebrating along with their residents and Thursday we are honored to be part of the Cambridge VA event. They are both free, fun, and safe events for the whole family.

For many years, Hospice of Guernsey has participated in decorating the Barnesville Victorian Mansion for Christmas. This year is no exception. What a wonderful day of friends, fun, and festive vibes.
This holiday season, please plan to visit the mansion located at 532 N Chestnut St in Barnesville. Each room is elaborately decorated in Victorian style. Lights and trees in every room. It is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.

We are so excited to have been honored last night by the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce with a Snazzy Award. Our recent remodel did not go without it's challenges but, the results were great spaces for staff and the community alike.
