🦷 Inspiring the future of dentistry on Maryland’s Eastern Shore!
Last week, the Eastern Shore Area Health Education Center (ESAHEC) took 23 Talbot County high school students to the University of Maryland School of Dentistry to explore careers in oral health and learn about the many pathways into the dental profession.
From simulation labs and sterilization tours to conversations with dental students and a visit to the National Museum of Dentistry, students experienced firsthand what a future in dentistry could look like.
Programs like this are helping build the next generation of oral health professionals and strengthening the dental workforce in rural communities like Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Thank you to our partners Talbot County Public Schools, UMSOD and the Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry who helped make this inspiring day possible!
