After nearly a year of cat and mouse-like movement, Saturn finally catches up to Neptune at 0 degrees of Aries, conjoining the God of the Sea for the first time since 1989. The last Saturn/Neptune conjunction took place in Capricorn, and coincided with (caused?) some pretty gnarly pop culture moments: the fall of the Berlin Wall, the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe, Tiananmen Square and a growing awareness of the severity of AIDS, to name but a few. The conjunction marks a time when structure and reality go head to head with idealism, often pitting rigid authority and established power against the will of the collective. So that explains pretty much all of 2026 so far 🤷‍♀️ The fact that these two are meeting up at the very first degree of the Zodiac is monumentally significant: this is the Genesis point. The Great Reset - whatever form it ultimately takes - starts now.

Viva la revolucion - we have a New Moon perfecting at the tail end of rebellious Aquarius this morning! The New Moon in Aquarius is the best time for breaking with the old, and ushering in the new. Aquarian energy is cool, detached, forward-looking and humanitarian. The Water Bearer believes that the collective is more important than any one individual, and networking is all-important. It is the sign of the outlier, the rebel, the black sheep, and it is known for going against convention. Aquarians are future-oriented, eccentric, generally friendly and well-liked, but they are usually seen as lacking in emotion. They make very good scientists, inventors and astrologers 🙋‍♀️. Intentions set under an Aquarius New Moon should lead with the head as opposed to the heart, should push boundaries, and should aim for long lasting change that benefits as many people as possible. Saturn enters Aries for a 3+ year stay, and I'm choosing to ignore the fact that he's doing it on Friday the 13th 🤷‍♀️ Saturn brings his trademark discipline and authoritative ways to the sign that rules initiative, giving us just enough tension to get some big projects off the ground if, and only if, we resist the urge to charge forward with zero forethought. In the sign of capital "S" Self, Saturn is sure to challenge us in the areas of identity, maturity and conscience. Learning to work within the limits and taking full responsibility for your words and deeds will be rewarded under this transit. Impulsivity won't. Saturn has to contend with Neptune for a little bit longer, finally conjoining the God of the Sea in one week's time. After that, he will pull ahead of Neptune and start to have a much easier time defining his stay in Aries. Fun times! He leaves for Ta**us in April of 2028.
