Recovery deserves honesty, clarity, and real options 💙✨
At Cedar Ridge, we use a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches because addiction is complex — and every person’s recovery journey is different 🌱🧠

When it comes to medication-assisted treatment, we intentionally choose an **opioid-free option**: Vivitrol 💉Vivitrol is **non-addictive** and **non-narcotic**. 🚫 It works by **blocking opioid receptors**, not activating them — allowing individuals to focus on healing and recovery without continuing physical dependence 🔒🕊️

Why does this matter? 🤔📊
Research shows that medications containing opioids — even when prescribed for treatment — can still create dependence, require daily dosing, and carry risks of misuse or diversion ⚠️💊. Studies also show that many individuals remain physically dependent long-term, with relapse rates increasing once the medication is stopped ⏳⬆️

In contrast, evidence shows that people receiving extended-release naltrexone (Vivitrol):
✨ Experience significantly more opioid-free weeks
📉 Have lower relapse rates after treatment ends
💪 Do not become physically dependent on the medication
🚫 Do not experience opioid withdrawal when stopping treatment
🛑 Are more protected from opioid overdose while the medication is active

We believe recovery should lead to **freedom**, not lifelong reliance on another opioid 🕊️💙. Our approach focuses on stability, accountability, therapy, and medications that support true independence and long-term success 🌟

There is no single path to recovery — but there *is* a difference between managing addiction and helping someone truly break free 🤍✨

If you or someone you love is exploring treatment options, we’re here to help — with compassion, respect, and evidence-based care.
